We're Chris and Julie, a married couple from South Philadelphia documenting our real-time journey of moving to Italy, buying a house in Sicily, and navigating Italian citizenship by descent (jure sanguinis).
After learning Julie carries an Alzheimer's-related gene, we stopped waiting for "someday" and started building a more intentional life now — even though Chris's Italian citizenship isn't guaranteed and we may not have answers until 2027.
From South Philly (with our pups, Chuckie and Lina), we're letting go of our current life, learning Italian, and spending time in Sicily whenever we can.
