the thing with dodging via a jump is (I have seen a technic-video about this) is that you don't get any I-frames. What happens is that during the Jump, the lower Body has no collision, but the upper half definitely has. It lasts longer that the I-frames of a dodgeroll and since the Arms don't get disabled it is actually easier to Jump attacks when Two-handing a Sword for example, since your Hands are elevated out of the way!

AoW get affected by weather like spells because the game reads the damage type that is output. Fromsoft didnt code each AoW & spell individually to take the 10% debuff (or 10% buff with lightining damage) but they coded the fire type dmg (and lightning) to get a debuff and buff.
This also affects each weapon that has split damage into fire (or uniquely fire) :popcorn-yellow-striped-smile:

3:27 sorry for bringing bad news, but lions claw is not a jump, you get off the ground hitting it with the sword so hard you go upwards.

Saved this video for the night to watch

FOR THE LIONS CLAW. you slam it in to the ground, and you use the force and weight of the sword to lift you up. that's what the opening swing is, before the spin

Amazing video man

The answer to the first one is obvious, provided you understand the basics of how the game calculates damage and how water affects entities.

The damage boost/reduction from water is not tied into the source of the damage but instead comes from the enemies damage resistance.

When the player or an enemy is stood in a "water" surface, is in the rain or is considered "wet" via any other means they gain fire resistance and lose lightning resistance. You can observe the change if you open up the stat screen and move in and out of a body of water as you can see your resistances changing.

Long story short, it doesn't matter where the damage came from, as that's not how the effect is programmed.

Neat video, but i'd consider making the TRUE be green rather than red. Both being red just seems weird.

In addition to enemies being slower to respond, Night Sorceries are also brilliant for NPC invasions, player-model enemies, and certain bosses who tend to dodge projectiles and spells.

This is because enemies won't dodge Night Sorceries.

There's a trigger in their AI that's set off when a projectile spawns that causes them to dodge-roll (for player-model NPCs and NPC invasions), or leap to the side when a projectile spawns.

Night Sorceries don't set off this trigger, meaning the enemy doesn't dodge, and instead takes the spell straight to the face.

(As an additional note; this dodge behaviour can actually be exploited by certain spells. Rock Sling and Magic Glintblade are probably the best spells at doing so - and also the ones that makes the mechanism of how it works most obvious - because their projectiles spawn (and thereby trigger the dodge) a full second - or longer, if you charge Magic Glintblade - before they actually start traveling.

The enemy thus sees the rocks appear, lodges literally nothing, and then walks/runs face-first into a trio of rocks.)

Hell yeah. Video dropped right as I finished work, perfect to listen to on the drive back

This will be a good watch

torent heals when you use rowa fruit when riding him i used to do it all the time first playthrough its fast too. also the nights spell isnt a myth that is a feature in their spell description

Great video man! Dem bears have the Sharingan lmao

If wind affected arrows, then Stormhill would have the most extreme effect which should be very visible. So I think that probably proves that there is no effect.
