From memory as a teenager when the hw77 was released you could send it off to be modified in an advert in the airgun world, the modification would consist of enlarging the loading port to the full width of the action and they would add a barrel wight to reduce muzzle flip when shooting, many HFT shooters did this so much so Weihrauch released the hw97 which had all the modifications as standard, everyone in the comments please correct me if i am wrong, i do love the hw97 but the hw98 is my favourite springer.

I have a TX200 that was tuned by a skilled Gun Smith. It has Delrin spring guides,top hat etc. it’s a beautiful gun to shoot and very accurate.

Try H&N FTT's in your HW95 - they are the most accurate..In my humble opinion, in most of my .22  HW barrels.  By the looks of it your 95, its an early barrel weight version of the 95 and again, from my experience, they are certainly one of the best HW barrels.  I have used them on some of my reduced cylinder HW80's purely because they are a great barrel. The same goes for the early 98's - a rifle I cant praise enough. Keep up the great work and story telling....

Both great rifles and I’ve owned several of each in all versions over the years “but” I’ve still got my 95k in .22 cal which says everything about it…

Pound for pound and accuracy wise the 95k is pretty much the pinnacle of a hunting airgun, lighter, cheaper (but no less a build quality) easily as accurate and far more versatile than the TX in every day use…

Don’t get me wrong I loved my TX’s but they’re not conducive to tracking through woodland shoots whilst clambering over/under and through the undergrowth, the 95k is the far superior tool for this type of work…

Just my experiences though, each to their own… 🙂👍

Great video once again, and some mighty impressive shooting with the springers, in my humble opinion there’s nothing between them, as demonstrated by the first group you shot with the 95, for an all day carry I’d take the 95 every time, lighter to carry and every bit as accurate 😁
We see deer daily, but I’ve never seen a white one, I didn’t know they existed, I’ll definitely be on the lookout now.

I have been led to believe that the hw95 is the same as the hw98, the only difference is the hw98 has a heavier bull barrel for stability and accuracy when target shooting, where as the hw95 is more of a field rifle.

The TX200 is a stunning rifle BUT Air Arms requires you to pay extra for a left handed stock then extra again for a left handed loading port and that really grips my shit, come on Air Arms do better.

I used to ride mountain bikes and one day. I was at back but shot to the front of the pack after being chased by a baboon. Frightened me to death. ☠️ no one believed me. 30 years later told the story to my new woman she said she knew where i was . Path at side of vets Mansfield woodhouse. Her baboon used to escape. At last vindicated. 😂 ps i shoot with blokes from your way at huthwaite.

I have an HW95 and a HW99S. I find the 99 is an absolute tack driver under 12 ftlb but the 95 is really difficult to shoot well. I have come to the conclusion that my 95 is very hold sensitive and a bit 'flippy' I struggle with that.
However, I have a TBT tuning kit with the short stroke system for the 95. I'm hoping when I fit the kit that it'll be just at easy to shoot as the 99.

What happened to the stag

Mate I’ve had a few in recent years…. Still freaks me out thinking about it… I used to box and do Judo too so quite secure about myself. However forests woods is where I have come unstuck at night. Actually legged it back to my car a few years ago when at my mates farm in pitch black.. heard a growl and quick movement towards me.. I never looked back and dropped my rifle… proper panicked.. So Ich so I wont go back there at night time anymore.

How annoying the screws come loose, if you don't like using thread lock like me, use some plumbers ptfe tape. It's a great barrier between vibration and screw.
The 95 will take some beating 👍.
