In today’s video, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone and diving into Taylor Swift's Folklore for the very first time! As a lifelong hip-hop fan, I’m excited (and a little nervous) to explore a genre I’m not super familiar with. How will Taylor’s indie-folk sound resonate with me? Will I be hooked or will it be a challenge to connect with? Watch my first reaction to Taylor Swift’s Folklore and find out!

Let me know your thoughts on the album and if there are any other Taylor Swift tracks I should check out next! 👇

“I like the way she uses words that wouldn’t normally be used”.

What’s this? A baby Swiftie being born? It is my duty to be present at the birth lol

One thing you should do every time you react to Taylor Swift is pull up the lyrics because that's where the magic is

✨ GREAT reaction. One tip: Don't think of Taylor as a pop star. She's a songwriter who performs however she has to (um kills it every time) to showcase the song. It's why she's studied at Ivy League schools.

She writes her own lyrics and she’s an amazing storyteller

She is the main song writer for her songs. As many many co writers have said publicly they basically just edit here and there what she’s already written

Taylor wrote and produced this album during the isolation phase of the Pandemic, so it had to be done remotely. She actually created a mini studio in her home at the time. The producers did their stuff away from her, but they worked together via zoom and such. She did want it to feel like being in a cabin in the woods,, sitting by the fire.

Calling Taylor’s songwriting “decent” should be a crime, girl is a genius!

I was in health care during the pandemic.
I used to use epiphany as my timed cry time.
My emotional release. Id go to the closet and allow myself to cry for the duration of the song.
Now it's Pavlovian. I just ugly cry when I hear the first few notes, then stop.

Taylor knows how to hold a beat drop to help build tension. The Archer and So Long London have no beat drop at all. She wants you to feel her desperation.

This is one of the few good things that came out of the pandemic
