26:50 Fun Fact- The chocolate chip cookie was invented by accident. The inventor was originally trying to bake chocolate cookies instead, but didn’t have enough chocolate. She chopped up the chocolate that she did have into chunks then mixed it into the batter hoping that it would melt into the dough and turn into chocolate cookies while they were in the oven. CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES WERE QUITE LITERALLY A MISTAKE!!! (A delicious mistake, but a mistake nonetheless) 💖🍪💖

Altitude isn't the only thing that effects baking. Humidity can also effect it, especially for confessionary.

Granny Smith, gala, or fuji are my go to apples

Noticed this a few times in the comments, but PSA: raisins are not dehydrated grapes! They're treated and dried grapes, and there's a big difference. If we were talking about dehydrated grapes, there would be something to the argument that adding water just turns it back into a grape. Slight oversimplification of the process, but let's not get too pedantic here. Of course, I'd want to know how you made a dehydrated grape that still had enough structure to become a grape again, but that feels like a different conversation. When something's been sun-dried or mechanically dried, as is the case with grapes, prunes, or sun-dried tomatoes, you can't just add water back to it to reverse the process. It becomes a rehydrated raisin at that point, not a grape.

3:17  Ground beef encased in hearty yeast bread is delicious.  Include some cabbage and you have a nice krautburger.  (Or a "Runza" if you live in Nebraska.)  Oma used to make them regularly.  I still remember burning my fingers on them fresh out of the oven when eating at her house.  Good memories, even if it has been...  A very long time.

Ground beef mixed into cake batter though?  Or quickbread?  I'm not sure I'd react like Dylan, but I'm definitely leery of that.

I think if I want more protein in my dessert, I'll try bean brownie 😅

"Have you tried soaked raisins?"

.....so grapes? XD

at least i can't say i didn't learn anything from this video, the altitude facts were interesting to learn

Rehydrated raisins? Sounds like a complicated way of eating grapes. 😅

Fantastic video as always 😊💚✨⭐️👍🏼

What have we learned? That perhaps Mister Dylan has so thoroughly overloaded his taste buds that he might not be a reliable taste-tester anymore ;3
(I kid, of course)

Not gonna lie, because of the twig placement in the thumbnail I thought it said BEEE DESSERTS and I was starting to wonder why people would make desserts out of bees.

For a apple pie my choice is a mix: Granny Smith, Red Delicious & Honey Crisp (if they're in season aka cheaper). It gives a good variety of texture & flavor.

Soaking a dehydrated fruit seems pretty redundant

Diabolical… but if I don’t know what it was I might try it.

5:15 To be fair, its super easy to know your altitude here in Laramie; 7220 is a staple for UW, being the highest altitude in college sports.

Imma be real. The roast beef fudge intrigues me.

I love beans

MEAT LETS GOOOO

If I were to do the breads/cakes I'd switch to full fat beef & not precook as thoroughly if at all.
