omggg the placement of the ttpd set is so clever, given that Taylor and Matty has been friends since 1989 era up till midnights era

She’s a general in The Great War.She gets shot twice. Once for Joe and once for Matty.

Imagine watching this on a blurry livestream and your one and only meeting of the day is EXACTLY WHEN THE TTPD SET STARTS and runs the ENTIRE LENGTH OF THE SET AND THROUGH THE SURPRISE SONGS 😂😭

The panicked "I gotta get tickets again!" is a whole ass mood lmao cause for real, I need to see this irl

Something I haven't seen anyone pick up on, but that I clocked immediately: for The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, the coat is circus performer-esque, yes, but more than that it reads Napoleonic to me. What, other than conquest, is Napoleon famous for? Being somewhat vertically challenged, otherwise known as Short Man Syndrome. It's just digs on digs on digs on digs, and I love it.

“What the fuck is happening” yeah that sums that up pretty well, I’m pretty sure I wrote that in my notes at least 4 times.

I am officially manifesting a BTS Eras Tour Doc. I want more collab energy from Taylor's brain to the screen like in Americana.

The choreography of ICDIWABH is made out of dance steps from other songs on the Eras Tour. Like she is literally a mastermind.

Girl the entire smallest man who ever lived choreo is so in depth and crazy. Every step and light means something. I could talk about it all day 😂 you probably know everything, but if you or anyone else reading this wants an explanation, let me know 😂

I really hope in one of the shows post comes out on the bed using the typewriter during fortnight, I feel like the entire crowd would scream their lungs out 🤣

The mashup is my favorite. DOWN BAD is my latest addiction. The perfect way to start a new work week. With Alex and TTPD Eras set! TYSM! I share and echo your vibe.

I also believe the last verse of But Daddy is a switch from Matty to Travis. So transitioning to So high school furthers my belief

I watches a livestream of the Era tour for the first time on the first Paris night, and when I tell you it was insane, it truly was. It was between 3 and 6 AM for me, but truly truly worth watching live. The new outfits, the new transitions, the new set list order, the chat was going crazy, and when the TTPD set started I hid in the toilet as to not wake up my boyfriend with my squeals of excitement. It was a magical experience and I'm forever jealous of people who are able to go to the Era tour, both old and new 2.0 versions

I think the show is set up to be morning to evening. Lover is the sunrise, with the colors. Then each set progresses through the day, placing the ttpd set around dinner time. What's better than dinner and a show? Surprise songs are then sunset, hence the new sunset colored dresses for the acoustic set. So, midnights has to come last, of course. I can't remember if Taylor eluded to that somewhere or if I heard that theory from someone else, but it made me see the entire set list differently.

The only kind of cult I’d happily join would be one led by a theater kid who flawlessly performs “Female Rage: The Musical”. Perfect selections for the TTPD set and I really like where it’s placed. As great as I Can Do it with a Broken Heart is, it could be a little dark and meta for a show closer. Still feels right to have Karma for the celebratory technicolor confetti closer.

Love everything about the Who’s Afraid production. Those visuals of the house (“with all the cobwebs” … Spider Boy, King of Thieves reference?)

And the death march — hello to the MCR Black Parade energy (and the 1975 energy IYKYK). Also note the white flag being waved in the background and the red lights that flash to symbolize shots fired.

The church window frames on the stage for But Daddy I Love Him are are perfect - as are the hand motions Taylor uses, which look like a variation on the cross but mysterious enough for some Sarahs and Hannahs to interpret them as satanic. And I kinda love that she used the same song to take aim at rw Sarahs and Hannahs and at the Conservatorship crowd that was attacking her from the other end of the horseshoe theory last year (both groups can have a similar internalized misogyny-scented vibe). And the “you can’t come to the wedding” definitely feels like a reference to Swifties swarming outside of Jack’s rehearsal dinner.

I could definitely see the stripes being a reference to both circus tents/cages and prison bars, perfect statement for an album that really dives into the cost of a certain level of fame.

Alex this was as joyous as watching the TTPD set for the first time

I was just at the concert last night and when the TTPD chapter came it was wild !!!

alex i’ve missed your videos so much !! you’re a beautiful soul and i’m so glad you’re back doing what you love xxx

“We are a cult lead by a theater kid” 😂

I think you heard the music to I Can Do It With a Broken Heart is playing the whole time while she gets dressed; it’s just kind of big band style or something. I hear “I’m so depressed but act like is my birthday…” in trumpets or something.
I’m not musically inclined 😂 but I do hear it immediately. I heard it the first time and I’m always shocked that nobody mentions it. I think you recognized it, you just didn’t recognize that you you did, lol
