In true Bricky fashion. In his video about a game being so bad, he enters deep thought and ponders. He spells the word "philosophical" wrong.  One of the greatest minds of our time.

"Miyazaki could add two more swamps before hitting that size"

I died

This is not like the simulations at all…

being fired for being greedy by EA is a level I have never ever envisioned

Forgot to mention that the  two added characters were stolen from a modder. Said modder datamined the game to check  and is not credited anywhere.

Somewhere in an Aspyr Employee’s journal:

What I remember about the Classic Collection launch… was how quiet it was. During the waning hours of development, the game was discreetly announced to release that March. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word.

Not on the lead up to release, not when the game hit the market, and not when the people started playing it for themselves.

Not a word.

Don't forget; the devs took someone's mod to add the 'new' heroes - and it was the broken outdated version. And then lied about it. (*noticed in the trailers, confirmed after the game came out and people looked at the game code)

Technically speaking, I think they did mislead buyers by speeding up the gameplay footage in the trailer to make it look like it's running at a better frame rate.

The thing with this version that makes it a "Remaster" is that they AI UPSCALED THE TEXTURES.
THAT'S IT.
THAT'S WHAT THOSE 15 EXTRA BUX GO TO.

Came back a year later (1 May 2025) and I assumed I’d found an April Fools’ video about the classic Battlefront.

I’d genuinely forgotten this “remaster” existed. If only I were still so fortunate.

It gets even better with just how bad of a job this "remaster" is regarding the console exclusive characters.
Asajj Ventress is was literally just a skin swap using a community made mod of another character.
People even data mined the game and found it.
So the devs stole a mod and put that in the game and tried to pass it of as their work.

That one person in the stream who asked "WTF did you expect" fills me with an unreasonable amount of irritation. Ok, just hypothetically we say that a developer released a collection of games 20 years later and for $15 more than the games already are, on platforms where they're already accessible, how about fucking anything being improved? It's that sort of apathetic "Well you got the games, what more do you want?" attitude that helps enable companies to continue force-feeding us dogshit while making fucking bank.

The battlefront curse continues. I hope these never touch kotor again

Those "AWARD Sniper Rifle" clips hurt to see; it's not actually a hitreg issue, it's the rifle having a massively nerfed range—it was a problem then, and of course it's still a problem now
And the only reason I know that is from loving the original and figuring that out for myself
The "remasters" are still absolute trash though

If it makes you feel any better Bricky, Aspyr was already being "punished" by having the KOTOR Remake literally being ripped from them and given to another studio due to basically being fuck-ups, all of that happening BEFORE Classic Edition came out and whoever greenlit that ripping is probably really fucking happy they did that.

Well since you asked Bricky:
"Which Hell am i?"

Assuming that the Warp is hell - We can rule out Tzeentchs Domain for a lack of changes. Given the lack of Joy that anybody playing this has Slanesh is also not involved.
Leaving is with Nurgle and Khorne. If we take into consideration that this game basicly died years ago, but is still kept alive somehow for monetization and eternal torment  -- Nurgle I guess?

Honestly, I think they DID succeed in bringing the games up to modern standards

"They TECHNICALLY did not lie"
An omission from the truth is still a lie..."

I'm all bricked up

So after this mess, I went and found my PS2.  Just to see if i was clouded by nostalgia. Nope it plays better than the re-release.
