Completed doctoral program at Kobe University Graduate School of Business Administration in 1997, PhD (Business Administration). After serving as an assistant professor in the Management Program at Hiroshima University Graduate School for Working Adults, he assumed his current position in 2008. He has previously served as a Faculty Fellow at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI), a Senior Fellow at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and Director of the Incubation Promotion Office at Waseda University.
