How fast do you think the XO-1 will go on 8s? Put your speed guess below!

The arrma limitless is 800 in the netherlands and the xo1 is 899,
Limitless is way better

Considering that’s it handles way better than a traxxas xo-1 from the start and proven that limitless platform can go way faster than 120mph, it’s pretty good for the money.

I just bought one. Sticking to 6S for now since it's my first fast car.

For $800 as a RTR, hitting over 120 I think it’s worth it.

I dont get why people are slating Arrma for putting a rtr speed car out, no one is forcing anyone to purchase one of these cars. If your not interested in the Limitless, thats fair enough, others are interested in owning one. The more selection we have on rc's has to be good surely.

I converted the XO1 to 8S. It's pretty easy and relatively cheap, all you really need is a new 8S capable ESC (And definitely hardened steel gearing if you don't already). Their motor is a rebranded sensorless Castle 1717 1650kv, which can easily do 8S as is. Which to be honest is extremely puzzling and quite regarded because the stock ESC can do only 6S???? WAY back in 2011, okay sure fine, 8S especially on an RTR may or may not have been a bit of a pipe dream, but either way there's 0 f'ing excuse for them to NOT do it at least with their latest update....

Either way, trashxas being trashxas aside, all you need to get the XO1 to 8S is, well I personally got a Hobbywing Max6, it's a drop-in replacement, fits perfectly. HOWEVER one thing of note, the included screw holes on the Max6 don't line up with those in the XO1 chassis from the old ESC, no problem really cause Hobbywing thankfully gives you some OP af double-sided tape too so I just used that and so far no issues, you could easily 3D print some adapter bracket though if you don't wanna drill extra holes into the metal.

Also another essential thing to note, is that I got the, and recommend getting the Max6 _G2_ version. On top of other upgrades it may or may not have over the regular Max6, I got it just for the purpose of it having a max sustained of 200 amps of current as opposed to 160 on the regular Max6. I felt that it was especially important for exactly speedrunning, especially once you put high power batteries in there, configurable or not it quite massively reduces the cut-off problem risk during pulls, which apparently was supposed to also be an issue on the RTR Limitless even with the recommended 4S batteries, cause the dogsh!t spektrum ESC on it is also 160 amp max continuous, go figure.

Oh yeah forgot to mention as well, that if you also didn't already, you DEFINITELY want to put active cooling on that motor especially on 8S lmao, even with low gearing, because that thing is absolutely going to heat like a nuclear reactor with all that power. I personally just ziptied currently one, and later will put a 2nd ruddog 40mm aluminimum fans onto the motor lmao, works perfectly fine that one fan, motor hardly becomes warm even during intense loads, gearing currently for me is 18/46, and even with that relatively "low" gearing 8S makes it freaking insane. Maths projects its theoretical top speed at that config to be scary close to that 100 mph on 34/46 with 6S which is actually insane. Anyway thank you for coming to my TED yap.

Schol RC in the house What's up my brother

Id love to see a xo1 8s!!!!

I’m down for a X0-1 8s build! 💪

I preordered a white and blue limitless and I mostly bought it to go fast and to go around corners like a track car. It’s got a lot more aero than my infraction so it should be pretty good. Something I did that I only saw on a couple Typhon builds was purchase some Proline Menace tires. They look like they’ll hook up great around turns.

Love your approach to modifications, very thorough and professional, keep up the good work

Thank you for the videos and thank you ARRMA for building this car.  RTR cars are very important to get folks into this hobby and to raise the competition.

U are the backflip king man. We should meme u now hahaha. Love arrma man. I have to add this:  the felony limitless infraction same chassis same parts except motor esc etc. This is the best platform for speed stability and looks.
Drop the mic

For the $$ it can't be beat. For the money, even buying the rtr version and even upgrading it is still an option. Arrma came out swinging with this one and is holding the title for sure! Bash Repair Repeat. BASH SQUAD!

That person doing the arrma video is the same person who outran the full-scale f1 car on carwow. He is even wearing the same shirt in both videos.

Looks like it's very much woth the money. Subscribed

Looking to purchase.👍💯💪

I plan to get one! I was going to build one at first but then I saw this, it’s an amazing car!

Love the appearance of this!
I get the pros and cons, likes and don'ts, not for everyone, but nice to have an option to get a fast RTR model, on a platform that is already proven solid!
Most of ppl are gonna stick to Felony or Infarction, but this is a solid choice for those who are into speed, good choice for getting feel for high speed, before building their own 150+ mph vehicle :)
And most def for 8S X01 build!!!

Arrma did a good job on this one how fast do you want to go that's question it's all about having fun thanks for the update and stay safe
