In a sense your right about a beginner getting a car that goes 120 can be dangerous but you have to set it up that way with the included pinion and spool. Out of the box it comes with a smaller pinion and center diff good for 70 mph so if a beginner got used to that then steps up the pinion get used to that then add the center spool. Plus the controller has 50/75/100 power. So with those factors I believe a beginner could do quit well

The point is for someone like me who owns 100k in rc cars I can’t fix them for the life of me and every one I’ve bought off marketplace has broken on me. For 800$ cheaper then the XO or infraction when it first came out. 800$ for this bad ass machine ready to go out the box is insane. This thing is a beast

The rollers probably weren't moving as much, so this was a smart move to more of it sold.

They should've given it a new design.

The roller argument is kinda silly since most folks in the hobby never leave any car stock... roller or RTR.

The limitation, no pun intended from going over 100 mph is the wheels and tires.

Simply put, one tester hit lipo cutoff on their 8s run and another blew out one of the hoons. Same ish, new day. As i mentioned in another vid, the only real revision are the diffs. The esc is not speed run friendly, the tires still blow out on day one, and Amazon offers better servos for $40cad. A roller with your electronics of choice is much better option. In fact, I believe that the hobao vte2 v1 or v2 are far superior to the arrma platforms in terms of design and performance. But hop ups/upgrade options favour arrma by boat lengths

People have been asking for rtr limitless for a while  it's a good start for people that are not into speed RC cars but run basher a good choice to get a feel for speed cars

I'll be honest , if I didn't work pt for a hobby shop , I wouldn't have half the rc's I own . I'm looking forward to this only because I've never had a speed rig and this looks like it handles very well .

Have to agree on most of your points. The one that really concerns me the most is the speed out of the box. I have a V2 version and hope to hit just above a hundred next run. Before that I have been running a rlaarlo 787 to build a feel for those kinds of speed. High speed  crash is no joke. Is no joke people are going to be rush to ER. Please let’s all be safe. I feel your need for speed.

I personally like that they released this, I am partial to the platform as I have 2 infractions (v1 and v2 both 8s) a felony, a V1 limitless and 2 V2’s. I get that it’s a lot for a newbie to handle but so isn’t the infraction/felony which is only a little slower than the new limitless out the box and only 100 cheaper. I think the upgraded exb diffs are welcome, plus the probably 40-$50 spool and gear etc. My “cheap” v2 roller I built cost me noticeably more than this does, I pd 429 + tax for the roller, $100 for the avc receiver, $40 for the servo “used”, 229 mmx8s (although the spek lists about the same), and about 150 for the firma 1250kv motor. That’s about 950 pretax to build a basic-ish limitless. Not counting pinion gears, etc. Yes I could’ve got a motor and esc combo for less and the others for slightly cheaper as well but considering the new price on the v2 roller is listed at 469, getting a motor, esc, avc receiver, transmitter, servo, exb diffs, spool and gear, speed pinion, body paint, and whatever else I’m missing, plus a warranty on the electronics is a tall order to do that for the price of this new one. I’m definitely getting one to see how far it can be pushed on the stock electronics, then I’ll swap in an mmx8s and see what we can get out of it as the spek esc’s like to hit thermal cutoff on speed runs. Actually kind of excited about it.

You are 100% correct that this is not for a beginner. I have a bit of experience but i would never buy this just because if you did wreck it thats it. It is really for the most advanced R/C guys out there. And yes a 1/5th Typhon would have been awesome!

Maybe they did it to one up Traxxas XO-1. So they can say quietly, we have the fastest RTR. I've played around with speed runs for fun. But after 4 or 5 passes your done. Then I'm ready for ripping up the dirt. But it is a sharp car.

Knowing I was going to upgrade anyways, I bought the V2 rattle can version and beastly electronics that fit. Just waiting on batteries to maiden her later tonight. Hoping to hit 150+mph but also be able to change out the gearing so I can bash or drift.
