I love the irony that his character started using cloaks because she wanted her personal space to be respected, but the only way the cloak spells are useful is if she invades everyone else's personal space

So spiritually and morally the ghost family bequeaths you their farm, but from a legal standpoint the bounty letter from the Jarl that you got to start the plantation quest mentions that whoever successfully resolves the haunting gets the farm.

Ah yes, Skyrim. Where Flame Cloaks do jack squat about freezing to death (unless it’s water) while being burnt to a crisp by dragon’s breath is a viable way to stay warm! Just gotta pack those Elixirs of Resist Fire 🔥

Wild that flame cloak doesn't provide any benefit against environmental cold for survival mode.

I love the emerging story of Annie and Temba. They found each other through the bears, Temba is completely supportive of Annie's hyperfixation and it ends with a meaningful anniversary gift. Beautiful. May they kill many bears in the future!

dragons actually need magicka to be able to use their breath attack, your storm cloak would have come in handy way more than you used it here lol

remember, during the dremora thing, dark elves have a 50% resistance to fire as is, this would be impossible as anyone else.

Bethesda beefed collision on big enemies. Giants dragons etc. so that's why you have to cosplay as a suppository to do dmg with cloak spells lol

If Youtube has taught me anything, its that the answer to "Can you beat [Elder Scrolls game] with only [obscure thing]?" is always a yes lol

All in all a great run! Also here’s some fun tips for anyone else considering this run:

So fun fact there is another spell that sort of is a cloak. Stendarr’s Aura sold by Florentius from Dawnguard. It’s a restoration spell that does damage to undead but gives destruction exp, it also can make cloak spells do more damage if you cast it and then hold a ready dual cast spell for some reason.  So you could have leveled destruction and could have had a 5th spell, although it’s debatable if it counts as a cloak since it’s called an Aura but it works basically the same as a Cloak spell.


You could also use necromage perk to boost the effectiveness of cloak spells, something I only found out a few months ago.


Also when dealing with the Dremora for the star quest you could have tried to find items to boost fire resist, all you need is 35% more to hit the cap of 85 which would help you out a lot. It’s a trick I use when doing the star quest as a dunmer if I’m doing a personal challenge run.

There are also the elemental priest masks like Zakrisos in Dragon Born DLC and they can amp up a cloak spell pretty nicely!

I think the funniest way to run cloaks is with invisibility, since they just stand nearby you but can't attack you since they don't know you're actually there if you don't run into them and can usually dip out when the cloak runs out to reapply

The fact that flame cloak doesn't warm you up in survival has always been one of my biggest pet peeves with survival mode.
