Hey friends, welcome to RegenerationNationTV!
We’re Mike & Jess, and we love diving into music, TV, and culture from all over the world. This is a space where we explore new experiences, share laughs, and connect with amazing people like YOU!

Philomena Cunk tackles the 20th century, aka ‘War One and War Two’, and somehow makes global conflict sound ridiculous. Mike and Jess were in stitches watching her twist history into pure nonsense.

I'm 59 in the UK, glad my days off start on Monday, just woke up. Coffee and toast watching this then off to town for my weekly shop and pub lunch, I don't need much to be happy, this channel is now firmly part of my happy part of life. The pub lunch also a lovely treat :)

If I recall correctly, which to be fair is unlikely, Charlie Brooker was annoyed that Esmonde and Larbey (Brushstrokes creators) were not given repeat fees by the BBC.
So he included the closing credits in Cunk on Britain to force the Beeb to shell out.
Nice work Charlie.

Did she actually say "Twatted it wide open"!? I can't do this! 😆😅🤣

There's another series: Cunk on Earth, 'Philomena Cunk tells the story of human civilisation from prehistoric times to the present day, covering history, science, culture and religion. '

I have watched numerous reactions to Cunk. You people REALLY get it...which is rather surprising for Americans. Good stuff.

I love how he didn’t hear “The Land of Gloryhole”

Oh, bad mistake to watch this whilst drinking. "King Edward wasn't a potato." Just sprayed my mouth full of water all over my tablet! 😂

It's the "inform" part of the BBC that is the most controversial, as it is apparently "committed to achieving due impartiality in all its output" which many people question, mostly in regards to the news.

Not strange that things go over your heads.
This show was definitely made for a British audience - and she is moving with break neck speed though the first part of the history of the last century.

Ah Mike, I'm with you mate. Watching comedy shows to escape from the worry of present day worries and to be reminded there was a time when laughter was a unifying voice in the world.

Got a much bigger laugh than I would have expected as King Edward potatoes are not widely known or available in America.

Diane Morgan (Philomena) is also a main character with Ricki Gervais in his fantastic show AFTERLIFE which I know you would really enjoy - it's only 3 series x6 episodes (and more modern) funny, sad and thought provoking. I would also recommend Rowan Atkinson's THE THIN BLUE LINE 2 series x7 - very funny indeed.

Talking of singing to keep spirits up...
During the Falklands War, a British Ship was hit, and was burning and sinking.
The crew began singing....
Always look on the bright side of life.... 😂

When she says “ in the 1960’s “ at the end I can hear ‘whiter shade of pale by Procul harem.’

Cunk on Shakespeare
Cunk on Christmas
Cunk on Earth
Cunk on America
Cunk on Life.
You got a lot to watch.

After the relentless sunshine, heat & drought of a long England spring - summer time, Miss Cunk was left to winter time whinge somewhere in Scotland.

The reaction to the 1984 part was exactly me and my Mrs lol, nodding along quietly thinking "yup!". We dont need words to all feel something together.

Acknowledgment for Charlie Brooker having wrote this, surely deserves a mention. Anyone that can write dialogue so appropriate for Diane Morgan's amazing delivery, is a true gem of the British cannon in satire.
