Someone should make an r/BatmanArkham version of this and call it "The Ham Tapes (Manalog Horror)".

"He opened a pizza chain with a partner named William-" AFTON?!

Ah the arkham asylum intercom chime, truly one of the sounds of all time.🔥

My theory on the Arkham Tapes: scarecrow poisoned the water supply and everyone’s experiencing a more terrifying version of what’s really going on

@babesapien 2 years ago

clayface straight up being an scp actually makes a lot of sense

"disturbing imagry" guessing he couldn't find all the riddler trophies.

In Scercrows tapes in arkham asylum, there are references to two of his actions in the Doctors he attacked Dr Combs and Dr Murphy are references to Jeffrey Combs and Cillian Murphy who both played the Scercrow

I forget which system Batman Arkham Asylum originally came out on, (360 maybe), but when the fear toxin glitch happened to me the first time I remember getting soo heated thinking my platform crashed. I was PISSED!

Tell me Bats, What are you really scared of? Failing to save this cesspool of a city? Not finding the Commissioner in time!? Me............. IN A THONG?!!??!

Crazy series. Batman and horror go together really well, I had no idea

Just the simple premise of Man-Bat and Clayface being slow, agonizing transformations taking place over many days rather than a few minutes/overnight is enough to add so much more horror to those characters (and Man-Bat is already pretty frightening).

And the idea of Riddler seeking ultimate knowledge and basically frying his brain by encountering a cosmic horror beyond mortal comprehension is also a brilliant interpretation of the character. Like canon Nygma would probably do that lol

31:27 SIDE NOTE: Either the guy voicing Harvey wasn’t even trying to match Harvey’s Arkham voice, or he was going for Harvey’s Dark Knight voice.

I went into this expecting a deep dive and analysis of all the character tape interviews from Arkham Asylum, City, Knight, etc, but was pleasantly surprised with what I got. This is amazing stuff.

I kinda love how this series is continuous in the idea in dark time lines that the Riddler would try do something evil and messed it up entirely.
Like seeking ultimate knowledge he would obviously mess it up slightly and completely paralyzed himself. A big Nygma move.

If this joker also fell into that vat of chemical it would make sense that this joker looks the way he does

There's one major oversight in this video, there's a compilation of the first "season" (everything up to the Riddler tape) that ends with bonus audio of Strange talking about Arkham Asylum being closed after the events of the seventh tape and that Jeremiah Arkham plans on turning his old family home into a new facility, Arkham Manor, which we can see is where the Riddler interview takes place.

I kind of wish they didn't go with the evil Batman route. I thought they were setting up something with darker takes on Arkham villains, especially with Joker not being human. The idea of the Batman we know fighting beings beyond the natural without the inherent "he'll always win and things won't be too brutal" that comes with comics

Also with the King in Yellow, it's possible that's Parallax from Green Lantern, the entity of the yellow lanterns that embodies fear

Growing up I remember getting so creeped out playing this game. Idk why, it just gave me such eerie vibes while walking the halls of the asylum; especially when I travelled through vents and could hear thumping noises that sounded like something (or someone) was chasing me through the vents.
