Legend has it that Gordon McGregor and Henry Ford met at the Victoria Tavern to hash out their plans for Ford plant

Just want you to know that I truly appreciate and enjoy your videos about Windsor.

My doctors office was there at 1052 Drouillard. Dr. George

ah keep sayin Fords Chryslers etc. Thanks for taking me past the old house we had completely renovated 916 Drouillard Rd due north of the I.T. The first year (1999) my wife and I planted a total of 400 individual flowers so with golf coarse grass and the new exterior we had more than a few stop and comment on the vast improvement. The grass is looking like pooh, the siding needs to be washed (washed 1/weeks and scrub 1/month )and voila back to its former glory. My wife and I went back for the first time since 2006 this past May and the alley is a dump, literally. Thank the people that left living room furniture in the alley along the fence line, the overgrown greenery etc. Oh well we tried our very best to tidy up the neighbourhood but to no avail. Hell the boys that owned the bootlegger due north of our house purchased industrial grade Roundup and I would knock down the waist high weeds in the city field between the I.T and 916. Four Ford employees Dan Dave Bill and I can't remember the last chaps name treated us like gold, what great neighbours. I LOVED WALKING THE STREETS OF FORD CITY especially those odd foggy days. Great job young man.

Great video of my childhood area. Used to walk up Cadillac from our home on Charles, heading for Holy Rosary school. Unfortunately, Ford demolished all the houses on the east side of Cadillac (80s or 90s?) so only half of the old street is still intact.

Keep up the good work. Im 63y/o and enjoy the history lesson

Really enjoying your walking videos. Great close-up views of the buildings and streets. Awesome insights into Windsor's history!

No place for that picture.  Should be a picture of Sir John A Macdonald.  😮

Can anyone watching post about the channel on Windsor Car Spotters?? We all know no one talks about cars on it but we need to get this channel into some big numbers .Everyone knows the group is where everyone in Windsor shares info❤ 🤣 That way we can get history tours of all of Windsor Essex county 😉

Oh ta you did walk by a house lived in. It would be kool to do a walk about with you

Thanks for the history lesson. I own the Moodrey Building which is also on the Register.

I wonder if the powers in the head offices regret their decisions,  moving plants to Mexico or overseas. Seems like more Canadian workers and the thousands of supplier workers would translate into thousands of more new vehicles sold.

Mont-rule? :(

New Song Church!

Informative video…..but please STOP saying Fords!! It’s Ford.

For clarity, Ford's used to have casting plants at both Windsor Engine and Cleveland engine.  As stated by our host, Windsor closed in 2008, Cleveland followed suit in 2009.
Who remembers the 351cid V-8?  There was a Windsor version and a Cleveland version with differing cast iron blocks.

6:57  That arch looks like a metal detector . . . required to gain access to the park?  Wouldn't be surprised on Drouillard.
