I worked at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for 17 years. It was a great place to work and the best job I ever had. I lived 5 minutes away in a wonderful neighbourhood with lovely neighbours. I knew Ottawa Street from Walker Road to Howard Avenue. When I was a little girl in the 60’s I thought Parent Avenue was the most beautiful street. Thanks for the tour and the interesting facts, Brent. ❤
this is perfect for my morning drive to check out the storm damage around the city, that house for sale at 5:00 I have been eyeing. I can afford it and its perfect price and location for me.. btw the acronym for the Bankruptcy Insolvency Act happens to be the same as the Ottawa Bussiness Improvement Area... Sort of hilarious
I also worked for Roman Catholic cemeteries board st Alphonse's location in the summers during my high school days.. alot of changes along the Ottawa corridor since then
What happened to the over the counter happy (codeine with Tylenol) pills you guys used to sell in Windsor? We have No reason to travel across the border now! hahaha
i have one you may be interested in. I was raised on a turn of the century farm house at 11215 riverside east in the seventies. its now a subdivision and was torn down in 1981 or so. We were agricultural farmers, beans, wheat and corn. fruit stand and farm equipment abound. This house had a famous reputation as rum rummer house in the day, and was big and easily imagined as such. hidden room in the basement filled with ford parts from the 30's, I used the model A parts for a school project one year. All never used, like straight from the factory. lots of interesting things in that house. I cant find any information on the history of this house, and all except me have passed with any knowledge of it. Can you send me on to whatever public data bases you are using you think may be helpful? We rented it from CN rail as all that farm land was theirs and sharecropped. love your channel, makes me remember and i love history.
