I liked StarCraft 2. But StarCraft and Brood War are beyond classic. Masterpiece.

"I love you, Sarge!"
#Juststarcraftthings

I miss this realistic, dark tone of sc1.

Starcraft 1 cinematics were so fucking dark. Love that shit

"Thank god for cold fusion" this is more entertaining than most movies now adays.

10:43 Damn, Hydralisk couldn't even let the man finish his last beer.

I really enjoyed how they added the in game sounds to the cut scenes in SC1

Brood War had one of the most grimdark openings in the franchise.
No cap.

"Hey what's that?" "A hood ornament in a second." Haha. Got me in 1998 and still gets me in 2015

Even though Starcraft 1 cutscenes obviously don't have the greatest animation, they still are able to effectively express a variety of feelings. Whether it is the unsettling nature of the terrifying Zerg, the triumphant and often overwhelming power of the Protoss, or often times just good comedy for the Terran; the cutscenes are memorable and achieve the desired effect despite limitations.
It is clear that even then Blizzard were masters at making cutscenes.

thank god for cold fusion

Dearest Helena when the news of our defeat will reach you, I will be long time dead, the corruption and the need for money, that corrupted the Blizard are untameable...

Seems like the zerg are a bit OP in cutscenes

Simple fact is, Tychus *DID NOT* want to do this, betray his buddy like this.  When he talked about wanting Jim to be careful, watch his back, how good fighting with Jim felt throughout the campaign, that was all genuine.  In the end however, Tychus had no choice.  It was him or Kerrigan, and he wasn't willing to die for Raynor's girlfriend; especially not with her being the single greatest mass murderer in the entire sector, now cured or not.

5:03 I remember as a kid amazed by the Terrain ending, and how different regions, even the other species, receive that message. Damn I have the same chills right now!

30:15 Wow the ticker is perfectly timed. Even in sync with the video timer itself!

Sc1 is a lot more scary and dark than sc2

"Thank God for cold fusion" Still cracks me up that they have beer next to a nuke.

Executor, the Overmind has been weakened, but I fear we have sustained severe damage ourselves. I will steer the Gantrithor into a collision course with the Overmind. If I can channel enough of the Dark Templars' energy through the hull of the Gantrithor, I should be able to bring swift death to the accursed abomination.
Remember us, Executor. Remember what was done here today. May Adun watch over you.

4:55 still gets me so excited, so awesome.
