My favorite moment in a PS2 DBZ game was playing Yamcha's storyline in Budokai 3 because it alternates between huge time jumps and rewriting moments to make it seem like he did something useful.
Budokai 3 for ps2 again and again and again. Not only it has amazing capsule skills, if both players are good, it becomes so difficult to defeat one another that the fighting is so precise and last a really long time, it's good to play for showing off at group gatherings of gaming, back in the day
There have been some great Dragon Ball Z games in the modern day but I still feel the PS2 was the best system for DBZ games. My personal favorite was Budokai Tenkaichi 2 mainely for the robust single player mode.
I remember buying The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age as a child because we loved The Return of the King game at home, and it said ‘Two players feature’ on the box. It was a turn-based RPG. The two players option was the equivalent of passing the controller to your brother for him to decide the next action of certain characters. Highly dissappointed with that one back then, but it ended up being a good game on its own.
Fun fact about the boss fights in sagas (atleast on the xbox version i had) if you find them to hard you could plug in player 2s controller and take controll of the boss, so all you had to do was make them stand still.
22:00 absolutely dying. I loved so many of these games but I was so bad at them. BT3's roster was amazing, but doing the 3D fighting arena style was so hard for me to get used to. RIP my Gamecube controller for Budakai 1 special beam cannon.
