Welcome to a new video and the first part of our epic motorcycle adventure through the Pyrenees.
We set off from Jaca with Gorka and our bikes, ready to devour the most legendary mountain passes in the Pyrenees.
Heading towards the Portalet Pass, we passed through the spectacular landscapes of Formigal and Panticosa, where we had to make a mandatory stop at high altitude because of the sheep: there were loads of sheep taking over the road, and you know how unpredictable they are!
After seeing the sad state of the reservoirs due to the drought, we began the descent towards Laruns, a brutal downhill but with chaotic traffic because it was August 1st.
From there, we took the turnoff towards the Aubisque Pass, passing through the Gourette ski resort. Reaching the summit of the Aubisque on such a sunny day, with the majestic Pic de Ger in the background, offers simply unbeatable views. Next, we tackled my absolute favorite stretch, the road that connects the Aubisque to the Col du Soulor: a mountain pass with a special magic.
After descending through picturesque villages like Arrens-Marsous, we arrived in Argelès-Gazost. There, we had a funny moment: we were headed to a recommended campsite that turned out to be incredibly expensive, so we had to hastily backtrack to Luz-Saint-Sauveur. We almost didn't find a place, but in the end, we found a spectacular campsite with a pool and everything for just €10 a night!
