Instructions unclear. Ended up making 4th Doctor's scarf on space marines with entire roll of tape.

"There's only so much you can say about masking tape". Unless, of course, you try to wrap a mummy in it, which is what I was hoping for.

This video is going right into my miniature tutorial playlist. That means it's easy enough to follow for me. I swear, I'm the dumbest smart man that ever lived.

I make arrows out of paperclips and the fletching from masking tape. Works a treat when modelling casualties either for games or dioramas.

This is so much more efficient and better looking than a lot of greenstuff capes I've made!

Thank you so much for posting this!

Looks like I do not have any excuse for my Imperial Guard's employment of adhesive lasguns now that you have told me what seems to be a very good way of making rifle slings!

Rewatching that old vid, I thought I could mention I'm using that age old recipe while giving it a "modern" twist. I like to make that cloth thicker by applying UV resin on it when it's in position and blasting it with a small UV torch. If you use a needle applicator you can be very precise. Remind yourself that the UV lamp will heat up the resin before it solidifies and make it a bit more fluid.
So don't overload the masking tape and rather apply several layers to get the thickness you're looking for.

Gotta say I like the shorter format videos. 15-20 minutes to me is a sweet spot!

Eliminator box comes with enough rifles to make multiple squads. Just add tape cloaks and head swap some intercessors.

@MisterGrooves 1 year ago

looks just as good as green stuff capes.

@PacSam7 1 month ago

Very good idea! I didn't want to buy green stuff just to make one cowl for one head that I wanted to cover. This will be perfect. Thank you!

Great tip. I've occasionally used kleenix tissue, applying a white glue water mix. The benefit using kleenix tissue is that you can tear it and get realistic ragged edges if you need them. The white glue water mix will harden it to accept paint when it dries.

The effect is insane! You are very good at manipulating the tape and the results are amazing.
Thanks for showing this!

this video just saved me soooo much time now, Ive been looking for the right cloak/cape for a kitbashed Fireblade Cadre for like 3 months, and EVERYthing ive come across or tried JUST didnt work. now i can just make my own. This needs to be in everyones kitbash/modding tool kit :-)

What a great idea! I had made capes, scarves and bandages out of thin plastic from food packaging (cheese slices etc) but this seems a lot easier to work with!
