I can sew anything. Design, no problem. I'm pretty crafty and could probably do a competent version of this house. I NEVER would have thought of doing thus. Ever. Crafting materials have changed so much since I was doing so much of it that I'm really far behind in my knowledge of materials and new tools and techniques.
