I found the blurring of the Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp footage quite insulting to the memory of those who perished there , this needs showing in its original form so as to be a stark reminder as to the events. The most ridiculous part is that one of the most horrific sequences was left untouched , that of the preserved specimens of tattooed skin removed from victims of probably Buchenwald.

Stop blurring these videos, it is our history and we and our children need to see what really happened.

I have no desire to see dead bodies but blurring them out removes the gravity and horror of war that should be seen by all so people can see the crime of war in all its "glory"😞!

I'd really like to know what gives YT the right to censor 80 yr old historic films that we're all supposed to be learning valuable lessons from...😫😖😤👀

Pausing the footage to look at a still scene really brings out the detail of what's happening in those moments. It's beyond fascinating.

My father was in the RAF during the war. 50% attrition rate. Never ever talked about it. A generation we will never see the likes of again. RIP.

YouTube needs to quit blurring the images, especially in these kinds of critical historical videos

A very good documentary without a commentary. However, blurring out the truth is demeaning to the memory of those that suffered!

all i can think of when i see those german soldiers are "you blokes were bloody smart and gutsy to over ride your really deep programing to go down with the ship and  to surrender you've chosen to live ". and those soldiers walk fast .they'd cover a lot of miles in a day. what precious important footage this is .a huge thankyou

The blurring makes it feel the horrors are hidden.

Whats incredible is how a few people can convince thousands to get maimed and killed while completely safe thousands of miles away for years on end.

Brilliant job by the embedded cameramen in 1945. Excellent present day soundtrack additions and also the tasteful orchestral score which sets a somber but respectful backdrop to the images. I’m thankful we have this excellent record to look back on.

By the way, this is an astonishingly well done video. Thank you so much for putting this together and posting. The sound effects are subtle, perfectly timed, and appropriate. The images are unforgettable.

I have just come across this channel. How I have missed it is beyond me. Thank you to the uploader. Amazing work, with skilfully inserted sounds. Appropriate soundtrack, no Ai rubbish, nor inane commentary. The visuals say everything. The occasional blurring, less than 0.1 % of the overall should not be allowed to detract from the content shown here. We all know what lies behind, and I find that the comments moaning about this are doing a disservice to the skills and time invested in the upload. Just what do these people want?

The Sadness, relief, fear, jubilation, futility, waste, hopelessness, humanity, inhumanity, degradation etc. are all captured and shown with exceptional skill and sympathy with a neutral element that is admirable. Yes, the blurring is a little frustrating in a way. But this is not the fault of the uploader. You Tube, I feel, at times IS taken for granted. Just think, this inspirational, thought provoking and heart-breaking footage that you are witnessing, has cost you NOTHING to view, but your time.

I am (after watching this upload) genuinely excited to see that there are hours and hours of other videos yet to watch. If the quality shown here, is consistent throughout the other uploads, I for one, will not be getting much sleep for the foreseeable future.
