I really appreciate Josie's work I just have to let the team know that this title is misleading...that's unfortunate

Hi Josie , one thing I learned the hard way in my line of work is to handle criticism . There are tools that anyone can learn when facing these situations. You certainly know that no-one is beyond reproach and no one is perfect . Not you not anyone. You may say something that upsets people for any and many reasons. People’s emotions are not your responsibility. But honestly , it’s not up to you to analyse their lives and tell them how they should behave . It doubt what you said ruined anyone’s day . I didn’t care about the Homesense thing , you’re entitled to your opinion and it was better left at that . Now this talk is seriously condescending . If it reflects who you are , then fine , otherwise this situation wasn’t handled properly. Only you would know . The positive thing works in reverse too . I wouldn’t let myself be upset by a few comments because me too can take a step back and breathe .

Dont know many people who can afford 800 quid for an advend regards to Homesense and the comments that followed your critique, mine being one of them,im a very happy ,positive lady who honestly feels reality check is needed at times.Shops like said Homesense,..tkmaxx etc allow alot of us with small budgets to furnish our homes .I love antiques, art,beautiful things..but,cant afford ridiculous price tags.So,yes,..i can be honest,critical,and a happy kind person too.!

I am generally the first person to call people out when they’re being insensitive or snobbish, but what Josie said about the quality of some of the stuff in Homesense is just a fact. A lot of it is mass produced tat that’s not designed to last. When you look into materials and supply chains, you learn that very quickly. I totally get that some people can only afford that. I think it was the antique parallel that probably grated, but again, antique and second hand often is better quality - again, just a fact. I have 80s pine furniture from the charity shop (cheaper than Homesense) that has lasted me 5 years and fast furniture that’s chipped or broken in half that time. I think people would have responded better to the statement ‘buy the best quality within your budget.’ However, calling out your audience - the people who have put you where you are - is never a good idea. One or two comments would be negative people but the fact she’s offended - yes, offended - a large number of people shows that there was something wrong with the statement or how it was delivered. Best not to address these comments if she can’t do so with some humility.

In our family, we say that life is ruled by two wolves; a dark snarling wolf, and a bright, light wolf who circle each other constantly, defending their territory. Which wins? The One you feed. Whenever I get sour, my husband will say, “feed the Good Wolf honey”, or, “are you feeding the Bad Wolf?” lol. Such a great reminder that one can choose to saturate one’s day with positivity!!!❤❤❤

I don't think comments were nasty or negative. Im 68yrs old country living, comfortable and i shop at homesence. Some of the items influencers are pushing could be seen as tat. I have unsubscribed from a few as some of you recommend because I find everyone become the same. Country living, cotswolds, bamford dalesford. None of my neighbours are like this and unlike me they are seriously wealthy people but lovely and grounded with it. Xxx❤

My father died and as I walked out of the hospital with my Mum a butterfly landed on our car and then my Mum passed suddenly and it snowed as we were leaving the house . Fast forward 4 years and I was driving near by our old house on a snowy January and our son asked if we could see the house so I drove down the road . Their old neighbours were looking after the house as the people we sold to were on holiday and so they let us in and the bedrooms had butterfly wallpaper on the wall ….i felt like my parents were still with me in the house ! I’ve never been back since . Yet another lovely vlog

@Sky47467 11 months ago

I don’t think there were ‘angry’ comments, just people saying you sounded quite snobbish about homesense which you were. Life is short but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to express an opinion, whether it be negative or positive, and call people out when you don’t agree with them.

Josie, appreciate your message regarding positivity...you're absolutely correct life is short we need to make the most of every day. I want you to know I actually watch your channel when I want calmness and peace in my day. You and Charlie are such good role models and truly appreciate your vlogs. You're so wholesome and kind,. You deserve all the blessings God has given you, keep doing what you're doing... spreading goodness and positivity. ❤

You know, Josie I have to say this, I personally was not offended at all by your comments in the other video. That being said, you did ruffle some others feathers. Your response to the comments of some of your viewers (who were just expressing their feelings) was telling them to just to brush it off. That’s very condescending imo. No, no one needs to jump down my throat for having that opinion. I am very happy, with a happy life, just surprised that you reacted that way towards your viewers. These are the people that support you and help give you the lifestyle that you have. Just a thought. Ok, let’s move on.

Charlie has got to be the most thorough - attention to detail person ever! Good for him cleaning his chopping boards & looking after them. Also the house/garden look as glorious as ever.

I revisited not my house, but a friend's house with many happy childhood memories. To my dismay it had been demolished and a block of flats replaced it. It had a profound effect on me, and still does.

@sharonwolters3319 10 months ago

🥰 Dear Josie, I've been watching you since you moved in to the Cotswolds. I purposely watch you to escape the world and it's negativity and become calmer. So thank you! Stay positive!

But....in spite of feeling nostalgic about Chiswick it has changed tremendously....far too overcrowded and busy ...Cotswolds was a great choice for settling down Jodie do gorgeous and look at what both you and Charlie have created. Irreplaceable.yiu are both very blessed . Everything you both create is wonderful. I share a lot of your content with many of my family and friends here in UK and overseas. You have helped influence my own possible move to the Cotswold area. You bring everything positive home to us . Much love to you both and many best wishes always.

Creative imaginative couple. A beautiful great book is possibly on your cards and more.

i’m the same way super nostalgic when i pass by areas i used to live!! also always love ur mentality for happiness and to not get to wound up about things. i like that u have touched upon how u try to have a more happy positive outlook in life despite having had a parent loss etc. like ur morals and way u live life is true and not fake like its always been a consistent message in ur videos when u do talk about private fam life or answer deeper qs from ur followers. like everyone makes comments with their friends when shopping but i like to think we all mean well and dont say these things with the intent of being mean xx❤️❤️

@robyn4627 11 months ago

Charlie is right about Mānuka it is a plant native to only New Zealand and treasured for its medicinal and healing qualities and the honey the bees make from the plant
I love and enjoy your content immensely and I look forward to watching all
Thank you ❤ I have been following you for a very long time and have purchased many things you have suggested, so I do appreciate your content very much ❤

I remember when you bought the flat and were going to make it your office. Was lovely to see it again. Beautiful garden and location too it’s in. I remember you always going to Honest Burger too.😄 I’ve been a subscriber for about 9 years now.❤
