In today’s video, I’m sharing a rather spooky story from right here in the Cotswolds – the legend of the Rollright Stones, one of England’s most mysterious ancient sites. We also take a little trip into Oxford for some historic sightseeing and homeware shopping (always a favourite), and I try something I've never done before… A cosy, curious, and slightly eerie day in the English countryside 👻✨

I enjoy your videos but not everybody's got money to spend on the expensive antique shops HomeSense is a fabulous shop to get anything you like in and very good quality in my opinion🎉

I love TK Maxx and Homesense. They have a lot of American things we can’t get anywhere else. It’s the kind of place where you go with an idea but not a list. I love their mugs and seasonal decor. There’s nothing like a tk maxx Christmas haul. Their candle selection is incredible too.

Had to pause the vlog because I really wanted to say that I absolutely love Charlie's passion for interior projects - How he knows where things are from, the name of the paints, upholstery fabric, and the way he really spends time searching for artwork. You really know how to make a place feel luxurious and warm/homely at the same time. It looks great again already, Charlie. Can't wait to see the finished result!

My local tkmaxx had Gucci and Prada bags the other week. Theres some beautiful unique items in there you can not get anywhere else in the uk. I love that shop❤❤

I can't hear "Ralf L Christmas" any more!!!.. it is JUST TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS in a traditional English country interior designed home..no more, no less. But if the younger generations are so gullable as to buy into it as a "new trend" then i guess that makes LRs bankers happy 😂.

I'm Celtic. The Celts say on Samhain the vail between the world of the living and dead is thin, so the dead can cross over into our world. That is why people dress up to go outside... in the hope that evil spirits think you are one of them and leave you alone. People are going out to visit their family for dinner celebrations ... we always lay an extra place at the table for our visiting ancestor ghosts to sit at the table with us.

Thank you for showing the stones and the folklore. That was the Morrigan. She plays an important part regarding the end of the light half of the wheel. Yes the veil is thin. It is a time to honour those who walked the land before us. The old name in Ireland is Samhain- summers end. ❤

My grand parents wouldn’t put their tree up until Christmas Eve!!!! Then they use to do the 12 days of Christmas! So much has changed!!

Homesense and TK Maxx (same company), source direct from vendors, I have seen stock from every store including many designers such as Ralph Lauren. For most of us, finding gems in places like homesense is wonderful, it beats paying full price for the same thing from the high end stores. Ralph Lauren have some beautiful tartan pjs in at the moment.

Living very local to Traitors Ford, I've never had any odd experience exactly at the water where it crosses the road, but after you go through it (ie from direction shown in your vlog) and go up the hill a bit there is a turning to the left, towards the Sibfords, and a copse of trees at that turning, on the right as you turn in. The first time I went past that copse of trees, I definately felt bad energy, apprehension, and overwhelming despair...I later mentioned my reaction to the place to some older locals, who told me that that wooded copse was where the remains of an army had been tracked down and slaughtered in the aftermath of a battle between the Roundheads and Caveliers. I think they said the Roundheads had caught up with the Caveliers at Traitors Ford itself, and had been chased into the copse where they were slaughtered. Hence the name Traitors Ford. ( having gone past that spot many times, alone and also with dogs and horses, I must say the animals never had any reaction to the place, but I definately felt it. It was not scary at all, just a very charged ie the emotions I mentioned earlier...Had never heard of the phantom face in water before, but interesting!

I'm so glad that we have Thanksgiving in the States. Christmas season doesn't start until the weekend after Thanksgiving. Having 3 distinct holidays in each of OCt, Nov and Dec means you aren't sick of Christmas by the time it arrives.

Antiques are also about the look, and finding genuine pieces that fit modern or contemporary design is a real hurdle. Homesense does offer a wider variety of styles for more contemporary homes, I think. Though I do enjoy a good antique bargain 😊

Thank you, Josie! I really enjoy seeing you and your mother together. My mother has passed away, but when I see the two of you , I remember outings with her and it’s just a joy to see.
