The most damning thing of all is that Megatron did echo one lesson Cryotek had taught him;
Look at how Megatron spoke to Dinobot in all of their interactions. Like an emotionally distant parent chastising a stubborn teenager, unlike how he treats his underlings with barely concealed contempt. It's even reinforced by how many times Megatron had cloned him, both in Season One and as a Transmetal II.
It’s likely that just as he had been taken in by Cryotek, Megatron took in Dinobot. Just not as his heir.
Imagine if we got a beast wars prequel series showing the lives of various characters along with various incidents like Cryotek’s and the Tripedacus council as the two primary antagonists of the series, The Maximal elders rise to power, The protoform X incident showing what exactly went down on Depthcharge’s home colony and the lives of the season 1 casts before they became part of they’re respective crews.
I’d love to see how Primal became captain of the axelon in the first place.
I wish he was actually mentioned (or even appeared) in the shows, and wasn't a Botcon exclusive character because he is really interesting and would have brought a fascinating side to Megatron's story.
I don't know why, but I like the idea of Cryotech running a business of construction and research equipment. It helps paints him as a genius while showing us the business side of Cybertron that we never see (mostly because Transformers is a franchise about an Alien Civil War marketed towards children).
Well, at least Dirge ultimately made it out okay. Got to work for the Emperor of Destruction, met his bff Thrust, and works under a guy who, while gruff and temperamental at times, treats him a heck of a lot better than Cryotech and Megatron ever would.
Loved this never really thought too hard about cryotek he was always just some "mob boss" to me just a interesting character that I didn't expect to have such a deep backstory awesome job dissecting him and his rise to power and eventual fall
> didn’t just freeze the maximals
even gru could do that
