i’m taking an old specialized rockhopper to MADE Portland ⚡️
this is the same rockhopper from one of my earliest long-form builds, but over the last few months it’s slowly been robbed of its parts and ended up back down to a frameset
with only a couple days before leaving for portland, it was time to bring it back
rather than using all new parts, i decided to dig through the parts bins, borrow a few things from other bikes and build something simple that i could actually ride around portland
it’s a little mismatched, a little rough around the edges, and probably an unlikely bike to bring to MADE — which might be exactly why i like it
next stop, portland ⚡️

I started eyeing new modern frames after my Mash got wrecked, I should be looking at finding an old road frame to build a neo-retro backup instead.
