I Ranked Every Danganronpa V3 Character by How Useful They Are in Class Trials

Ultimate Analysis

I analyzed every class trial in Danganronpa V3 with the goal of creating an objective ranking of how useful each character is in the class trials. I used a point system I created to ensure the rankings are as systematic and impartial as possible.

I highly recommend you watch the other two videos first if you haven't already for a better breakdown of the methodology used.

This was the most unexpected ranking yet! Which placement surprised you the most? Let me know what other Danganronpa analysis videos you'd want to see :)

God, the absolutely ridiculous gap between Shuichi and literally every other character in the entire series is HILARIOUS. Seeing the stats at the end made me cackle, and here people were, accusing the previous game results of being biased towards towards the protagonist.

Atua forbid a girl accuse a friend of murder

Fun fact: In the chapter 4 investigation all the characters that accompany Shuichi in the virtual world hype him up constantly, saying that he'll be the one solving the case and that they're relying on him.
They know that he's the one carrying them through every trial! :D

I literally forgot Kiyo's existence throughout the whole video till he was revealed so 2nd place jumpscared me

Shuichi descending upon the V3 cast like an angel of salvation, “weakest ultimate detective ever” my ass.

Assuming you take the final reveal as being true, Tsumugi technically having the lowest score while Shuichi is leagues ahead of everyone else is like some kind of cautionary tale about authors creating characters that are way smarter than their writers.

Even though I knew Shuichi would win, I wasn't expecting the absolute landslide in the rankings lol.

See if the V3 cast had even a 10th of Shuichi’s smarts, one of them would’ve killed him. If he’d been taken out, there’s no shot the peanut gallery would solve anything

super funny to me korekiyo is such an outlier that there's a dedicated statistic on the sheet for the sole purpose of excluding him. they let one legitimate practicing academic professional into danganronpa trials and it warrants a unique statistic because they change the average that much

2nd place was a JUMPSCARE
out of all people HE'S THERE

The fact that ryoma placed higher than a survivor and a chapter 5 victim just goes to show he is and always will be the GOAT

Keebo scoring so high kind of makes sense when you remember he's the in-universe audience surrogate, if he didn't participate a lot the audience would probably have gotten mad that their proxy was useless.

Just noticed this. The 3rd chapter blackened for every game is consistently top 5 in usefulness

Not surprised at Angie's high placement - she's a real yapper as well as very happy to doubt and grill people, which are extremely useful to actually progressing a class trial.

I did expect Kiyo to be high, but not “best non-player character” high. I mean it makes sense since Kiyo’s one of the only characters to never really have a flat-out bad suggestion (aside from suggesting to torture the truth out of the suspects at one point, even though he was probably (hopefully) kidding), but higher than Kokichi? Goddamn.

Also I 100% expected Himiko to be in last place, but considering Tenko is actively biased against an entire gender and has a belief in Himiko that far exceeds rationality, yeah, probably makes sense that she took last place.

When I did my version of this I was actually surprised Angie wasn’t higher. Angie uses faith as a shield for a seemingly logical if not authoritarian nature. Throughout V3 she makes decisions for the group that are often right or at least make sense. She’s right not to trust the flashback lights, and her logic for bringing back Rantaro while cold is kind on impenetrably logically sound.

Anyway Angie’s goat. Justice for my girl Angie.
