It’s also important to know that when Hozier was writing this song he probably wasn’t thinking this formulaicly about it

You should livestream writing a song from scratch

The NEEEAAAAT in the song is addicting

That chorus hits hard, and makes me think about the song I'm working on -- for practice. Its crap, but I've just started writing,  so whaddya expect? Second interesting thing, this song hit number 1 in the USA, but I swear I never heard it on any radio station in Los Angeles I've been listening to. Clearly, I'm missing something here on my radio dial.

You are doing God’s work, man. Seriously, your videos are insane. Thank you

Good analysis of “Too Sweet”, keep em coming. Such observations can help getting out of writers block.

I just found your channel last week and watching your videos while learning to write and compose a song. This is gonna be an interesting journey to compose a song but your channel is really helping me a lot. Please continue to inspire others.

Yea... being a huge fan of AFI, in addition to being a verbose person with an extensive vocabulary, that kind of seemed like the direction I naturally gravitated toward. Yet writing song lyrics was a dragging process. Once I let go of "You have to stop trying to be so damn clever" My songwriting started filling up notebooks.

Thank you for these videos. I was stomped on a good melody 👍🏿❤️

Thanks for a video on YouTube that is straight to the point(s). Keep up the good work!
