Can you make a color woodcut from an old, rotten board?

I found an ancient, rotten board in my garden, and I'm trying to make a color woodcut from it. I love it when the character of the material flows into a piece of art; for me, that's Wabi-Sabi in action.

The subject is a 400-year-old mountain farm at night in the snow in Heiligenblut. I'm using a total of five printing plates.
