In this episode of Visiting Premium Barbershops we went back to Villa 31, but this time we toured the neighborhood in a different way: together with Diego Navajas and Ema Medina, we hopped on motorcycles and rode in a caravan to check out some of the barbershops that operate inside the neighborhood.

During the ride we visited four barbershops, talked with their barbers about how much they charge for haircuts, how they work, how they got started in the trade, and we rode through a large part of Villa 31 on motorcycles while getting to know different areas of the neighborhood.

We also found a barbershop that shares space with a music studio, surprised some barbers who still had the shop closed at noon, and ended up visiting Víctor, one of the neighborhood’s best-known old-school barbers, who has been working for years in a barbershop located on a first floor.
