Kate Mulgrew, Capt. Katherine Janeway, was my Star Trek mom. I was about to turn 28 when the show premiered. I was living with trauma from growing up with a mom who had one or more severe personality disorders. Among other things, she drove me far from home to literally abandoned me on the side of the road when I was 15. I immediately loved Capt. Janeway. She was everything I believed a mother is. Strong, but empathetic. Heroic, but honest about her humanity. Demanding, but supportive. When I was single-parenting, as a man, I patterned much of it on Capt. Janeway.

I was raising 2 small daughters, as a single parent, and simple TV time wasn't often had at our house. But Wednesday nights were reserved for ST Voyager. We watched it as a family and I enjoyed watching my daughters fall in love with Star Trek as I had in the 1960's! When the last episode aired, everything came to a screeching hold for it. We actually talked about staying home "sick" so we could watch that episode! We truly missed that program, my daughters grew up with it and can, to this day, pull ST Voyager trivia out of thin air. They will call me, unexpectedly, and we'd discuss that piece of trivia for hours. We miss it but have it stowed in our memory banks forever.

My Robert Picardo memory is from Dragon Con 2002. He was sitting behind a table, chatting with fans and signing autographs, when he spotted my professional -level digital camera as I passed by on the way to a shoot. He asked if I could shoot a photo of himself with one of the fans who had no camera with her. When she gave me her email address to send the pics, Picardo also looked at the pics in the camera, and asked me to make a note of his agent's address, because he also wanted the pics, "especially this one!"

Since then, I've always had the impression that it wasn't just a job to him, and he saw the fans as friends.

Voyager is actually the ST series I rewatch the most - I feel very fond of this crew and 7of9 wasn’t just a bit of eye candy she’s a genuinely interesting and complex character,

I had the extreme pleasure working as a WGA intern on Voyager back in 2000. I still look back on those three months fondly.

Voyager has a special place for me and my family. The night I was born, my mother began taping the episode of voyager that was airing because she didn’t want to miss it while giving birth to me. That tape still exists now.

As a Brazilian, I discovered Star Trek Voyager on Netflix a few years ago. The highlight for me is the dialogue, particularly the exchanges between Seven of Nine and the Captain. I'll never forget the episode that focused on individuality.

That they didn’t give Voyager a proper welcome home final episode is unforgivable. What a dis to such a wonderful cast of actors who deserved a measure of resolution to their characters receiving the honor and praise of Starfleet. We should have seen a ticker-tape parade for them or the Federations highest medal ceremony. But what did we get? Nothing.

I really did not expect to sit down and watch a 2 hour long Voyager documentary in which I learned more about Voyager than any tv show ever.

This was a gift. Thank you for making this. Voyager means so much to me having grown up watching it, it feels like coming home whenever it’s on. I have so much love for this series and it’s crew. ❤

The casting of Kate Mulgrew as Captain Janeway was absolutely the right call. Couldn't imagine the series without her!!
Fantastic documentary. I've always liked TNG, but Voyager is where my heart is. Taking a peek behind the curtain like this was an absolute joy to watch. ♥
