As long as super skinny is seen as "expensive" "elite" "profetable" and a way to control women and keep them more occupied with their looks than actual social issues, it will always be the most praised body size and shape.
I nearly killed myself with EDs when I was young. I have nothing against Ozempic for diabetics and seriously obese people. But those Hollywood actors who have normal bodies? No. A harmful ideal.
THANK YOU!!! I needed to hear this very badly!!! For some reason I prefer to be as close to the underweight category on the bmi scale as possible! I personally think and feel that I look better that way. However, my husband has been telling me that I’m too skinny and I need to gain some weight!!
He tells me this, as I’ve been feeling that I need to lose 10 pounds!!!! I’ve been wondering why I feel that way? I feel like other women look so beautiful with weight on them, but I’m just not one of them! Then I read your first comment and I felt a spark!
“You can’t fight fascism on an empty stomach” 🔥🔥🔥
You’re completely right!!!
There is so much more important things for me to be focusing on then trying to lose another goddamn 10 pounds when my weight is normal!!
You can’t think when you’re hungry and that’s what they want!!
Vote and fight for our future my fellow women!! Love and peace to us all! 🫶🏼☮️💪🏼
I think there's also an agenda within promoting and successfully having people fall into the trap of being too skinny. It strips them from vital cognitive functions and a sense of powerful self, and they end up being controlled by the system and by whoever benefits from that.
This is such an important topic! Thank you for your informative and thoughtful content on so many issues that women face. I would definitely like to hear more about this in depth on your podcast.
Thank You! ❤ its so important that we talk about this and stop arguing amongst each other and start fighting/ adressing the real issues that are coming for all of us and our (future) daughters. I always notice how much my brain needs to eat, when I‘m sitting in chemistry class at 9 am without breakfast and just cant concentrate no more cause I‘m suddenly so hungry! Or when I‘m craving high density food more than ever during ‚test season‘ when I‘m preparing for the coming tests and learning six to seven hours a day (breaks not included). So its really not just about our bodies but also about our ability to think properly. much love! ❤
I am in my 40s currently and I have always been extremely skinny all my life. I think most important thing is be happy and be healthy whatever the body type you are in and not get influenced by social media and other outside influences. I never had the aspiration to get the curvy body when it was the trend either because I was happy with how I looked. I was happy with my stick figure even then. Been skinny has not stopped me achieving things. I have good education, good job and own a house my own. So I think most important thing is eat healthy food and be healthy both mentally and physically and not get influenced by social media and other outside influences.
