Herbert von Karajan was a renowned conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra for umpteen years! Not suprised he drove that Merc.

I have to say you’re very good at these videos - very knowledgeable and very enjoyable to watch.

I really love how you first mention the list-prices, and then give your audience a bit of time to estimate the auction-results. You can (or maybe can't) imagine the joy when it's spot on with one's own estimate, lol😄. Apart from that, and being 62, I loooove many of the featured cars - and feeling young once more again.

So thank you very much, please keep doing what you're doing, and have a wonderful 2026. Shout out from the Netherlands👍👋!

23:05. I remember this model as an I.O.M. taxi as a 6 y.o.

15:18 definitely one of the favourites for a lot of people. Obviously I am speaking for people who I don't know but I am dead certain that this era was one of the best for car designs from almost every manufacturer. The 504. Awesome.

Unreal that Grosser benz only making 35 grand? Wow. Live in the bloody thing. Stunning. Real random selection. The Bristol anr Lotus esprit being particuarly lovely and personal favourites. The late racing drivers Lotus, being a beautiful example. But the Jensen at the beginning for an all round beautiful beast to have on the drive way. One of the sexiest beast of a car ever.

Nice cars and the prices are coming down as reality kicks in!

Can you make some more longer videos please. Really enjoyed it❤

@Onehaleystar 10 months ago

Absolutely enjoyed every moment my only criticism is for dyslexic people you need to leave the price at the end for a few seconds longer only a few seconds but I really love your professionalism putting these together your easy to listen to . Regards . Haley

What a superb film to watch, to ogle at cars that cost beyond ones wildest dreams, and to see what they actually made in the auction. Particularly liked the Old Vauxhall Cresta ......and so did a few others obviously at £31,000. I'd a have bought a couple if I had a bigger garage....... :-))))))

great video.... prices do seems a but down but they have been unrealistic for years,. love the 504 as said elsewhere and alfa... had an alfasud and guilietta sprint coupe on the 80s not like the one at the auction thou

@derekstocker6661 10 months ago

Very well done video, like the format and as said elsewhere please keep the final price up for longer.

I am catching up on all your videos and in the last 24 hours have seen so many cars that I've never seen.I know I'm being Captain Obvious regarding the prototypes,but so maybe others too.The Rolls Royce with the clear roof seems reasonably priced when you consider say,a 550 Spyder sold for millions.I would rather own a 550 but you know what I mean.I will say again Simon that I love your no nonsense presentation and you get so many cars reviewed in quick time.

Vauxhall Cresta PA is my dream car. I want the pre-facelift model before this though with the straight grille, bonnet mascot, 3 piece rear window and indicators in the fins. These are rarer than rocking horse poo though with only about 12 left in this country. They rusted for fun 😢
Got to be pink 💗
That Cresta did well. An almost perfect earlier model went for around £20,000 recently at Mathewsons. It was up for 22k at a dealers but didn't sell. I also believe that it was owned by the chairman, or similar, of the PA Owners Club. You can't get a better provenance than that.
Sadly I didn't have the money then and I no longer have a garage. It would be a crime to keep it in the open.
