My CYMA mosfet broke just a couple weeks ago because the trigger arm on the mosfet broke, thank you for pointing that out. It's probably the weakest point of any CYMA gun.

I got a classic army I stole from my dad when he bought it 19 some years ago when he was starting out with the nam sims here in the UK. Externally it looks really good and despite being old airsoft it works great internally too, had no issues with it up until around 3 years ago which are a simple fix I’m just lazy and we are pretty sure it’s just because we had a long break from airsoft due to covid.

Hell yeah, I will defend E&C til my dying breath.

I had an E&C M16 (Colt 604 / USAF M16) the markings are beautiful, damn near 1:1, almost GBBR level, reliable, and just beautiful, A1 FSB, A1 pencil barrel, A1 delta ring, no tick marks on the right side, it even has "CNC" marks by the rear sight which kind of mimics the machining marks on real M16s, it was just so good man, and its handguard also has flash marks (those weird line marks that appear on real M16 handguards) under the right lighting condition.

the more i look at it the more I love it, I absolutely love how the handguards have aluminum heatshields whereas other brands below or even similar price ranges omit those entirely. i also love how creaky they are (authentic) and how E&C added reinforcements by the teeth ( a common weakpoint in real M16s) so the handguards dont break as easily

the best part? newer E&C AEGs have a more accurate looking punch pins instead of hex screws, and their newer Colt series are licensed technically making them even more accurate as they're kind of "blessed" by Colt themselves (albeit the logo and markings admittedly got less accurate ever since the Cybergun change)

I unfortunately had to sell my beloved M16 but i have nothing but fond memories for it, I miss it so much.

just picked up a used JG A1 with a ton of magazines and a full alice kit and so far it's been pretty impressive, looks great and even if the mags are polymer the receivers are metal so I'm pretty happy with it

Most of the members in my Vietnam re-enacting group in Ontario, Canada have the E&C M16A1 and they are great! Proper Colt markings and solid construction. My only gripes are the lack of faux forward assist, and the receivers/etc being black instead of the proper XM grey. Other than that, great out of box replica for a decent impression.

i got a dirt cheap cyma 2nd hand and had my local tech work his magic on it, UK spec so 330 fps, i run it with 0.28g bbs and 11.1v lipo. i think it can handle heavier bbs but havent had a chance to try them

just waiting for a gas Colt 715 to come to the market...
