To Hell with marriage.
Run for it!
Very true today.
This has aged perfectly.

Lil Abner looks like Gaston from Disney's Beauty and the Beast

I still miss Li'l Abner! I had no idea there was a cartoon!

U.S. High Schools had real Sadie Hawkins dances!

It might be paramount. It looks like the Popeye cartoons

Sadie Hawkins Day = Forced Marriage Day😂

The "Lil' Abner" cartoon was obviously the inspiration for The Beverly Hillbillies !!!
Mammy is Granny .... Pappy is Jed ... Lil' Abner is Jethro ... Daisy Mae is Ellie Mae  .... they weren't even trying to hide it !!

as Shown on Totally Tooned In and the 1989 redrawn colorized video

Here I is, here I is! Story of many guys lives these days 😢

First time I saw the name Abner is Polka-Dot Man. Knew about him in the comics a little bit before the second Suicide Squad film came out. This would be the second time. Never met an Abner either. Unusual name.

They have something like this in Bulgaria

"A boy's best friend is his mother."  -Norman Bates, Psycho

Somehow, this feels like a Famous Studios toon.

Sony Pictures Animation
It's...
"Lil' Abner"
By Al Capp!

she decides just to bomb this poor dude into stratosphere rather than let him win, that's savage

She got him in the end.

Yeah... I'm thinkin' Bugs Bunny wasn't loosing any sleep over this.

Abner would not have gotten hurt - he was about to hit the ground with his HEAD.
