sorry for the delayed release, had to wait for copyright claim to be released first.

Phil Hartman (RIP) as Vickie at Alcatraz is one of my favourite parts.

Mike Myers is a 'Beat Poet' in this film. A form of free verse spoken aloud to music.

Such an underrated Myers film. His bits as the dad are the best.

Alan Arkin's appearance in any film is a beautiful little golden nugget of fun.

15:35 God, I love Phil Harman's slow burn at Mike in this.

The driver of the commandeered car is Charles Grodin. He co-starred with DeNiro in Midnight Run.... plus a ton of other stuff in the 70s and 80s.

Charles Grodin, the guy in the car, is a great comedic actor. He was in Beethoven and a great action/comedy with Robert Deniro called Midnight Run.

Why yes, Phil Hartman is funny. You may know him from such appearances on The Simpsons as "Troy McClure", "Lionel Hutz" and other roles! He was supposed to be Zap Brannigan but ...

15:03 The great Phil Hartman. The GOAT. Gone way too soon. RIP. ❤

At a point where most other movies would coast this one throws in Steven Wright's cameo for just an extra dose of incredible hilarity.

4:28 Referencing Vogon poetry in a review gets an instant thumbs up!

@orian8011 3 months ago

It's called "Beat" poetry named after the beat poets of the American 1940 & 1950's (Ginsberg, Kureouc, Burroughs). Also that actor in the car commendearing scene is Charles Grodin

@screennamemissing 3 months ago

Charlie's Mother, May, is played by Brenda Flicker... who played THE PIGEON LADY FROM HOME ALONE 2! :D

Such a criminally underappreciated film

Charles Grodin is the guy in the car...A famous comedic actor from that time.

subtle reference to The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

@irktog5175 3 months ago

He is referring to the old TV show Starsky and Hutch from the 70s, the movie didn't come out until well after this was made.

Amanda Plumber, the actress playing the sister/actual axe murderer, is fantastic. I highly recommend the Terry Gilliam film The Fisher King, also starring Robin Williams and Jeff Bridges. She is wonderful and a great film.
