The walk begins along Ayala Avenue on an early Sunday morning during Makati's Car-Free Sunday.

From there, we explore Ayala Triangle Gardens before continuing along Makati Avenue toward Poblacion. We then take a short walk through the well-known nightlife and red-light district along P. Burgos Street, before continuing around the Poblacion neighborhood until we reach Kalayaan Avenue.

The rain footage shown at the end of the video was filmed the day before in Taguig City.

Very Smart Guy I must say. I am a foreigner who has been travelling to the Philippines for over 20yrs. He's is 100 spot on in everything he said. Open up a Bank account, Always carry small bills, filipinos never have change of 500 or 1000. Taxi drivers never want to put the meter on and always ask for +p200 if they do put the meter. And don't live with your inlaws. Anyone who is going to the Philippines for the 1st time I strongly recommend you heed to this man's advice. Philippines is a Beautiful country but you need to be careful or you will get Burnt.

Many foreigners live like teenagers, eat out everyday, drink regularly with expats, all this on a fixed budget. Recipe for disaster. Need to budget and always have an emergency fund.

Great reality check and clarification of stereotypes from social media. For me, I lived there for 12 years (as a child of a pilipino) and as I got older, life got harder… started pretty well off— my grandparents had money, finishing high school in a private school, but after getting married… my grandparents died and my father left, so I began living in poverty, with no access to financial aid or knowledge of a career path. I found out my spouse thought he could use me for citizenship but fortunately due to certain circumstances I had in my favor. He didn’t qualify. As I was well adept to the lifestyle and culture, and loved my childhood. I decided to pick up and come back to the US in my early 20s so I can thrive and succeed.

I lived in Manila (Makati City) for eleven years as an American expat. I owned a condo there. A nice one. I didn’t go there for love. That’s for sure. Women can be lots of trouble. What they really care about the most is the money. No money no honey is true. Many expats just don’t plan out their money right. They blow their money on girlie bars and girls. I saw lots of cases like this. Have to be strong. Have to learn to say NO. That’s a very important rule. Saying NO. To many. Will save you a lot of trouble. I’m in LA now but I might be going back. I have some good friends in Manila. Plus I miss Asia. I also lived in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Living overseas is not for everyone. No. It takes a strong person to do so. Also a smart one. 😎👍
