I have fond memories of spending time in malls with friends when I was growing up. Sadly, malls in the US started dying out 30 years ago. Many malls here are empty now.

I was militarily stationed in the UAE, and the Philippines Malls reminds me of the Dubai Mall

Hi, and greetings from Oxford, UK. I had the pleasure of working as a volunteer on various development projects in the Philippines between 2001-2007. I was based in Quezon City a short walk from SM North Mall. That place always drew me in during my breaks as it was so convenient for food and to cool off. Saturdays were always spent at SM Megamall as it was brilliant to observe people and chill-out. Thanks for going there and bringing a tear of reminiscence to my eye

Philippines should be proud of their malling culture.
I used to work for the management office of Hillsdale Mall in the Bay Area California.
Did you know that they sent a delegation of upper management to check out malls in the Philippines.
To study mall trends, what make them vibrant. They came back with stacks of pictures.
I told them malling culture is in the DNA of Filipinos. We all had a good laugh.

Thank you for showing real life in Manila. No hype, just as it is. Haven't been there in decades and considering a visit. Likely outside the city.

Philippine malls are the best in the entire world! Never got tired of visiting both new and old malls whenever coming back for vacation!

I am a Filipina living over 4 decades in Spain and I really enjoy watching your blogs! It makes me feels it's time to go home again! It's incredible how much our country has changed! By the way, your English is perfect and I love it more when you speak it with Philippine accent! You're doing a wonderful job! More power to you!!! Regards from Spain!!!

I have been to Manila many times over the decades and could never understand the obsession with malls.Thank you for opening my eyes.My favorite mall is Robinsons in Emita. My favorite restaurant is Almon Marina.Robinsons has art shops on the top floor that open and close regular but feature local artists.

I really love your vlogging style and content. It’s so refreshing to see a normal Filipino’s view of our motherland. Most vlogs are people showing the rich side of the country, fancy restaurants, and all the things and places that appeal to foreign tourists. In my opinion Onad, you are an artist, and this work is so important for archiving our history. Thank you, I hope you keep making these videos. Much love from your kababayan in the US.

My husband hates shopping at the malls here in the US, but can stay in a Philippines mall all day 😂.

I think if we retire in the Philippines we’ll just spend it In a mall daily. I won’t have to cook, and I’ll get to have my 10,000 steps per day, LOL!
