Thank you for mentioning Adam, I had no idea he’d passed until now. His channel was what introduced me to urban exploration and sparked my appreciation for abandoned theme parks over 15 years ago. I still have his theme song stuck in my head occasionally. Rest in peace, Adam the Woo

Ah yes The holy trio of world events that cancel or bankrupt things:
9/11, the 2008 Recession, and COVID-19

This place seemed to be 1 mysterious death away from a Tiger King situation

"A park that never seemed to escape controversy. Mostly because they allowed animals to escape them" is such a golden line

This is an odd one, the post-Abandoned plans are weirder than the original use.

Abandoned attractions seems to be very common in Florida.

Zookeeper: Humans likely would be the easiest prey.

Reassuring headlines.

Rip Adam the Woo

Just showed my Dad this video asking if he ever heard of this place because I vaguely remember him telling me that he visited this "Gator Park" area when he was a kid, and he almost FREAKED OUT!! He even remembered the giant Gator statue too!! 🙃🙃

As someone who lives in Orlando I can’t wait for the inevitable Sloth World episode

Seeing Adam the Woo’s name pop up made me tear up a little bit. Thanks for keeping him with us with some of his cool filmography.

This brings me back!! I grew up living right behind Jungleland Zoo in one of nearby neighborhoods you mention in this video. We would hear the sounds of the animals all the time, especially the howler monkeys and peacocks. The peacocks were free roaming and would occasionally hop the fence and come down the street to visit our area. The time when Nala the lioness escaped is burned into my memory and is still a story I tell to people who must think I am making it up. There were police guarding the area where the swamp meets the houses just in case she came out in our direction. My mother was even interviewed by the New York Times, and she still has a copy of the article. It was sad to see it decay in it's later years and I agree the conditions for the animals were not great when I visited. Still, it's an odd part of my childhood I'll never forget.

Just now finding out Adam the Woo passed. He got me into abandoned exploration over a decade ago and it's super sad to hear of his passing... Rest in peace

ya know honestly, I could see a decent horror movie/video game about a family visiting one of these "other parks" that are near walt disney world.

The difference is the Gator Motel always knew its limits.

Good to see an abandoned place that has somewhat of a future! Also, that Motel is begging for an ADR episode.

The Gator Motel was my regular motel having stayed there dozens of times for a week or more each time. My room was upstairs, the end unit, far right, overlooking the enclosure for the Capybara.  I think, I was right over the office. I still have the Business Card from the 80s.

RIP Adamthewoo! Did many explorations of this place. 10:35

I’m glad you’re actually getting your feet wet into researching these struggling zoos. They’re not all created equal.

Surprisingly I have never heard of this place. It would be cool to see more places like this that most people have never heard of.
