Little old man with the fruit literally brought a tear to my eye! Beautiful! Cheers and Godspeed Katie!

I recently (late April to July) completed a 3 month cycle touring adventure around Japan, and watching your vlog has brought a massive smile to my face - all the memories come flooding back: the generosity and spirit of the people, experiencing how the other half lives, the food, culture and traditions.  It is wonderful to see, despite all the ebbs and flows of cycling throughout Japan, that you are enjoying it as much as I did!!  I can't wait to watch your Shimanami Kaido vlog, it was definitely a highlight of my trip amongst many others.  If you get the opportunity, I would recommend visiting as many onsen (traditional Japanese bath house) if you get the opportunity.  Im feeling your enthusiasm because I experienced it too.  So thank you 😊!  All the best on the road. I'm looking forward to watching more of your Japanese cycling odyssey!

「頼むぜエディタ」からここに来ました。日本は楽しかったですか？日本を気に入ってくれてありがとう！ぜひ、また来てくださいね！

Thank you Katie for yet another stunning video ❤
One of the many things I love about your adventures isn't just the amazing views, it's your infectious enthusiasm and how that seems to engender such beautiful human interactions with complete strangers.
You are such a brilliant ambassador for cycling and the UK. Well done and keep going!
I can't wait for the next video

Love this video! Been riding in Japan for 10 years and haven't even scratched the surface yet. Road riding is great here - Japan knows how to build and maintain roads - lots of political pork you're riding on here. Gravel not so much. Most of the land is either paved, rice fields, or mountains. Food situation - yeah C-stores and local supermarkets will get old. You should be able to find sit down restaurants with Udon, ramen, various dishes over hot rice, etc. Can't wait for Part 2. If you're headed where I think you're headed - Shimanami - well, you'll be in cycling heaven.

"Japan is amazing—it's so safe, super clean, and the people are so kind and polite. It's one of the few countries where you can easily travel alone as a woman. Just great!"

Love your energy and enthusiasm on your first couple of days Katie, especially given your first day setback with the rash.
Japan looks a beautiful country with such wonderful people.
Enjoy the rest of the trip and I look forward to the next video.
Take care.

Yay! I’ve been so looking forward to this series after following your trip on Strava. Japan is such a beautiful country!

I love Japan, been 3 times. The most kind and respectful people. Great video

This ride across video has it all right from the start … weather, roads, mountains, friendly folks and a sea passage. Brilliant and well done! 🚴‍♂️🇯🇵⛰️🇬🇧🙂

Love that no matter where you are in the world, Canadians show up and represent us so well!

Looks like an amazing trip – excited to see it unfold.

Japan is a dream destination for me! Thanks for riding and offering a sneak peek.

Your goal of seeing and experiencing the local cultures and seeing people in their daily lives is most admirable. Such is the real reward. Thank you. You are a real sport.

the hills are alive with the sound of katie take care

I absolutely loved cycling in Japan. So gorgeous. And the people were incredible. Thank you for the kit giveaway opportunity.

Glad you made it to Japan. It’s great to ride outside of the big cities.

It looks amazing Katie. You look like your having a good time. Enjoy❤

My wife and I were just in Japan in July and the first thing I said was "I have to ride across this country." She thinks I'm mental, but has agreed to start saving up money with me so we can take a month and I can ride from Sasebo to Wakkanai! Good luck on your journey, I look forward to seeing your progress! 🙂 (Mind the bears!!)

Looking forward to part 2!  Touring Japan is on my bucket list.  Ride Safe.
