I have never ever seen such an amazing creation of convincing realism of setting, story and actors come together so effectively. The dramatic Welsh country side with it's isolated sections, as well as persons who seem to choose isolation, destructive secrets, are convincingly depicted and carried out by brilliant actors, (directors?). The conceptualisation behind these movies, especially this episode is pure genius. The lead actor of the detective is able to transform himself totally in the role so realistically, it's like he has a supernatural capacity to transform completely into the role. The creators vision, their team of collaborators (actors, producers & whoever else makes up this team) manage to create a standard that exceeds anything ever seen before.

Brooding, dark and melancholic with a brilliant but troubled detective. Touches of Nordic noir minus the gore. The Welsh scenery is a perfect backdrop. Getting hooked.

I love this series, especially the Welsh language scenes. I think it's great that Welsh is kept alive like this, although I'm English, I think it's great that we have our local languages. I wish in England we still had our local language , though I wonder what would be. I think this series was filmed also completely in Welsh.

I love it that the AI captions transcribed seagulls' cries as "Heat, heat!", "Go, go!", "Help, help!", and "Fire, fire!"

I'm spellbound by Tomais knownledge and addiction to his job, but his very soul is tormented. I've studied his character and Harrington is the best...

Prosser is evil and is somehow behind some sort of child abuse. That's why he stands between Tom and solving cases, and I think he's going to do something to Alice's father.

I just sat down with a bowl of crisps, but not with this programme. Uggh! I have watched the entire programme before, but I forgot about the mess and carnage. Will come back to it in a few minutes 😵‍💫 So, its evening time and I just sat down with a bowl of freshly popped pop corn. Won't I ever learn not to eat whilst watching this programme?

I get this feeling this show is really comparative to the US show Longmire, though different in many obvious ways and some less than obvious ones, the dynamics of the stories and crimes are really similar.
