Describing the Giannis trade as criminal is wild.  The Bucks needed draft picks and young players, as they where completely out of assets to make additional moves, plus with Giannis's injury history they where going nowhere with him, trading him was the correct decision, im not sure they would have gotten a better offer last offseason, the Thunder and Spurs where never trading for him.  Trading him for Jaylen Brown, Even Mobley or Alperen Sengun, they would be to expensive as Milwaukee has over 25 million in dead cap space on their book, which is why they needed young players on cheap rookie contracts and expiring contracts back in the trade.  Say Milwaukee signs Giannis to a 60 million dollar extension then tears his achillies that would he over 80 million in dead cap on their books with no way to improve their roster and no control over their picks for the next 4 years, and while that is still the case at least their team is a lot younger now so those picks are likely less valuable than before especially the pick in 2030. 6 of Milwaukee's players are 24 and younger.  They got over a decade younger in the process and have an easier path to financial flexibility. Yes they will be bad for a few seasons but if done correctly a rebuild can be worth it.

I remember just 3 years ago when Sac took the defending champion Warriors to seven games and it took another epic Steph Curry game to beat them. Sac looked like a rising contender. Fox and Sabonis were like a young Malone and Stockton. Light the beam! But just a couple of years later they’re back in the NBA toilet.

As a raptors fan I'm shocked that our team is getting a fair rating by anyone outside of Canada. Although you do tend to have some of the best takes so maybe that isn't so surprising after all.
