I enjoyed this demo! I saw another artist use a Prismacolor pencil sharpener to sharpen these crayons. She saves the shavings in watercolor pans so nothing goes to waste but this allows her to do more detailed drawings with them. I wish I could remember the artist’s name to give her credit.

What a lovely medium! It looks very easy-going and fresh.
I especially like how it "melts" on paper when you spray a tiny bit of water over them, just a tiiiny bit

They layer the opposite way too, if you lay down a neocolor layer, activate it with water and then go on top with those same mediums. Love that way too, to use them in backgrounds, as a baselayer. But they are so versitile, love mine so much. I mostly use them in combination with colored pencils :) I would recommend you to try to scribble on a Caran DÁche palette or a cuttingboard and pick up with a watercolor brush for small details. Hope you have fun continuing to discover them in different ways :)

They remind of oil pastels that are portable or like fat colored , watercolor pencils.

Loving the colors..beautiful and vivid...thanks for the demo!  I heard of these but didn't understand why they were so wanted.  Try alcohol spray...it is a fun way to play with the color.

If by any chance you’re looking for a pencil that goes over dry Neocolors, Faber Castell Pitt Oil base does the job!

Heating up the tape with a blow dryer, avoid the damaging of the paper during removal.
