Wizards and Warriors animated fantasy documentary lore video series on GRR Martin's world of Ice and Fire continues with the aftermath of the episode describing the madness of king Aerys II Targaryen (How Aerys Became the Mad King - Game of Th...) and Robert's Rebellion (Robert's Rebellion - Battle of Trident - G...), as well as the Ironborn Rebellion of Balon Greyjoy (Ironborn Rebellion - Greyjoy Revolt - Game...). The courtly intrigues led to the death of the King Robert Baratheon and the consequent succession crisis leads to the beginning of the War of the Five Kings. The Star heir Robb - the Young Wolf is eager to save his father Eddard and so he marches south, leading to the battles of Green Fork and Whispering Wood and of the Camps against the house of Lannister (Rise of the Young Wolf - War of the Five K...). The war of the Five Kings continues with the battles of Oxcross, Fords and Bitterbridge (Battle of Oxcross - War of the Five Kings ...) inching the continent closer to the battle of the Blackwater Bay.

I love it how Stannis despite his defeat here went on to protect the realm way better than any of the other "kings". Such a badass.

A terrible day for the rightful King, Stannis the Mannis

@xBenwa 3 years ago

The show showing them pulling Stannis off the walls was always one of my favorite adaptations

@jonbaxter2254 3 years ago

What I love about Stannis, is the moment he has the force he needs, he attacks. He doesn't dawdle like everyone else. He goes straight in.

Goes to show that the purpose of defending in a siege isn't to sortie out and drive the enemy back single handed
It's to buy time and make the bastards bleed worse than you for every step forward they take.

“There are brave men behind those doors! Let’s go kill them!” -Tyrion Lannister

The audio develops a slight echo at the bit after Stannis leaves the battle

The fact that Stannis' men ran over ships on fire...
That was really savage

A sad day for the true king.

I remember reading this when I was on my way to school on the train. And when Tyrion says "They call me half a man. What does that make the lot of you!?" I actually did a fist pump. The other passengers were probably thinking "WTF is wrong with this guy?"

if tywin had not been so bling and dispised so much tirion, the two of them together would have made an impressive and fearsome duo.

i enjoyed this video, my favourite part was when you were possessed by a demon.

For as much as the lannisters hated the imp he was probably one of the more capable rulers they had at kings landing throughout the war.

I was chosen by Heaven. Say my name when you pray to the skies see Stannis rise, Rhllor my protector, bow down to my will, to the skies see Stannis rise.

Thank you so much for giving us these battles in such amazing detail, HBO did not do the early seasons battles justice by only saying who won the battle instead of showing it 😁👍

Last time I was this early Cregan Stark was still Lord of Winterfell

Great videos, as usual ❤

I know I'm late, but technically in the books Ser Davos wasn't the one who encouraged Stannis to leave Melisandre on Dragonstone - that was predominantly his lords who had said that if she had came and Stannis won, the victory would've been hers instead of his. Davos did silently agree with them though.
