Barney’s a dude where he truly sounds like he’s destroying his voice every time he sings. The fact that he’s still going strong 35 years later is unbelievable. You hear some screamers and you can tell “ok, this is very controlled and quite easy for this person”. Barney sounds completely out of control, like he’s screaming the life force out of his body at all times. I don’t know how he does it, man.

I love how he is the vocalist of one of the most brutal metal bands out there, and at the same is one of the most "British" and polite persons you can imagine

Named my cat after him and everyone thought it was because of barney the dinosaur. I'd tell them NO! Barney for Napalm Death!

Adorable British vegan man that happens to be one of the fiercest vocalists in extreme music. Love it.

This guy is 51 years old... does he even age?

Barney looks at least 10 years younger than he is

Barney’s vocals just get better with age. His vocals on Throes In The Jaws Of Defeatism are absolutely rabid.

Barney is a really nice person and soo kind. Remember meeting him 2 time after concert and he always answer nicely question.

Is everyone gonna ignore the fact that he mentioned he was in a band with Andy from Bolt Thrower

I always thought Barney had a pretty distinctive roar.

Barney's vocals are the most disgusting thing I've ever heard and that's a compliment.

Napalm Death, the only death metal band that can get away with having a vocalist named Barney XD

He took lessons from Jim Carrey obviously

I appreciate how this absolute legend looks like an average British dad - except he takes really good care of himself.

Almost every death metal vocal is just like this, polite, knows how to talk normally almost educated and not satanic as the rest of the world thinks they are

Barneys haircut makes me think this is how Oli Sykes will look in about 10 years  lmao

I saw Napalm Death back in the early 2000's when I was a teen. Barney said he had injured his leg and was apologizing for any hiccups in his performance. You could see the pain in his face while he was doing the songs but he kept going. At one point, someone back stage came out with a rolling chair for him to lean or sit on during one of the songs and he FUCKING THREW IT DOWN AND JUST KEPT GOING. One of the best shows I've ever seen. Absolute legends.

Barney looks like he teaches year 10 Geography and tries to make the class enjoyable but the students never listen.

it's more of a roar than a scream. Plus he's instantly recognizable, I think.

He is one the best metal vocalists.
