No mention of tax relief for private pensions, costing 70 billion a year in lost revenue to the government. Or the 40 billion for PIP, or 5 billion for illegal immigrants, etc.

As a pensioner I think the state pension should follow the inflation rate, but the threshold for paying tax should be raised.

The State Pension had been left to rot for many may years and the Triple Lock was a way to bring it up to a decent level slowly not all at once.
So until it is at a livable amount you can have it on a upwards trajectory and then, only then look to change it.
Already stealing money from all of us by freezing the personal allowance for 7 years.

The triple lock should stay at least until the post 2016 full pension is 40% of average earnings and be adjusted to maintain that link.

Why would you scrap the triple lock when we have 2 million pensioners on the breadline or just about making do. Surly you'd stop sending money all over the world before you do that.

I left school at 15 ,I worked for 51yrs and paid in the system it is not a benefit.if the government had robbed the pot the pension would be good

No Government that supports doing away with the triple will ever be elected in the UK. If politicians look forward to never being employed, bring it on. It is that simple.
