We actually agree with almost all of your comments, especially about Act 2 — it's something we can't really change now, but we’ll learn from it for our future endeavours. Hopefully some of the main quest factions feel a bit more relevant in the new DLCs! Next one.... SoonTM

30:20 One thing worth pointing out is the three Northern Borough Gangs - Miller's Men, The Roundels, and The Pistols. They're all based on British subcultures from the 1960s-70s - being Skinhead, Mod, and Punk repsectively. Each gang is worth interacting with to get a better look at each of these historical subcultures.

The fact they included Count Binface in the mod makes me so happy!

The reveal of the Thamesfolk was the most memorable moment for me. I totally expected Ghouls to be introduced that way. Was totally mind blown when I saw fish people. Such a phenomenal game

Also the bin / bucket head member of parliament is undoubtedly a reference to Count Binface, a real-world politician who ran for the mayorship of London and is still active, I believe

Fallout London is such an amazing experience. I moved to Greenwich, where the game starts, soon after I started my first play through. Being able to explore the world in both the game and real life was a unique experience that I will always cherish.

Great video, and lots of very fair critique. I think some of the issues came about because it was a mod built by many different people working remotely, and cohesion is hard to get right in that environment, especially with the different factions. Though part of that will be fixed in the upcoming Wild Card expansion, which introduces a New Vegas style multi-faction ending. That got cut from release due to resource constraints.
Even as one of the writers on the game I still think it's a miracle it got made (and was not shit). It's hard to fathom just how much unpaid work went into this and what a marvel it is that it came out well. Many modders are out to make cool things, not necessarily polished things, and not necessarily good at working together, so getting a big team over many years to produce cohesive and quality stuff is really damned hard. It would be great if you got some of the leads on some time to talk about how it went. You had a good interview with the Frontier project lead on what went wrong there. A video of what went right with Fallout London could be useful for the community.

30:55 The Pistols Headquarters is in a real place in Camden Market called 'Cyberdog' that does very kitschy rave gear and has a... rather interesting back section if you go all the way down to the backroom at the bottom. It used to also have dancers in podiums above the main floor, but I haven't seen them since covid.

Also every MP being identical clones of each other from the same place isn't too far from real life Parliament, so I also liked this twist.

London bridge used to look so much cooler in medieval times. It was covered in buildings that made one long confusing alleyway to get from one side of the city to the other.

Fun fact about the London Bridge, the real life original bridge was sold to the city of Havasu, Arizona in the 60's when London announced that it needed to be replaced completely. The newly founded city's first mayor realized that it was the perfect length to cross Lake Havasu and could think of no better attraction to draw tourists to the city. It worked though!

Theres a reason Bethesda sent job offers to these modders and not the Frontier ones. You can really see the skill and effort that went into making the project.

The only 2 big flaws with London compared to vanilla is 1) the radioactive water that takes off a third of your health for slipping into a puddle for one second and 2) the factions having llimited worldbuilding dialogue around them, especially before you join.

I sooo wish they added the faction armor as an option like in FNV, would of been so nice to just sneak into the Syndicate or 5th Column and just explore, or even get a secret quest for being in the appropriate clothing

Their is a card holder in the prop menu for settlements/playerhomes. Pain to find it but it’s there.

While pendragon was lacklucster in content, i did enjoy using him as a manequin for goofy looks. By the end, he was wielding a legendary broadsword, the royal crown, and a legendary plague doctor's mask.  He was the most stylish boy out there, and a walking museum.

It's a shame they didn't make it open-ended. I would've loved for other people to take up the mantle and add "DLC" for it. There are plenty of locations in the UK that would make for interesting locations, Sheffield, known as Steel City could've been a British Pitt.

I do often think of locations and what they might be called in a Fallout setting. I always figured Liverpool would be called "Radio City" purely because there's a huge tower in the middle of the place that you can see from quite a distance which has the name of the radio station it houses in very visible text.

I still find it wild they got John Bercow, the very well known Speaker of the House of Commons  to voice H4N-24RD
