Q: Is this just your previous Pikmin Versus videos compiled into one?
A: 90%? Every segment has new edits, information, and corrections to a few mistakes. Basically this is the intended way to watch this series of videos.

Pikmin 2 & 3: Makes amazing battle mode but barely acknowledges its existence
Pikmin 4: Makes mediocre battle mode and spends the whole story promoting it

Why did Nintendo not expand on Pikmin 3's bingo battle in 4. Instead we got diet challenge mode

Bro is just rubbing in how he has friends who like to play Pikmin! 😭😭😭

>gives the answer to the title in the first 5 seconds of the video.
>1 hour explaining your point.

Subscribed.  Thats how you fucking do videos. Now I'm fucking invested. LETS. FUCKING. GO.

If I remember correctly, back when me and my cousin used to play Bingo Battle at like 14 years old we had a Gentleman's Rule where if you were going to use the Rock item, you had to loudly do a 3 or 5 second countdown to give your opponent time to react (can't remember exactly how long the countdown was)

I don't think it necessarily fixed the problem but it did result in some fun counterplay.

Gran Turismo 4, done saved you a hour

Pikmin's multiplayer NEEDS to be talked about more. if Luigi's MANSION can have online multiplayer, I don't know what universe we were unlucky enough to be born in where Pikmin can't for whatever reason. Such a great mode.

I’d definitely say Pikmin 3, not only bc of childhood nostalgia, but just how fun bingo battle is

I remember choosing that map in Pikmin 2 with the bomb rocks on it all the time as a kid. I found out that you could actually activate the bomb by punching it, picking it up, then running with an active bomb in your hands straight into the enemy. I got so many wins via Pikmin Extinction that way.

I got my girlfriend into Pikmin through the vs mode and the missions in pikmin 3. She was more excited for Pikmin 4 than I was and got so disappointed by dandori battles that she refused to play anything else of the game. She enjoyed the vs mode in 2 but said that it didn't feel as fleshed out and as good as bingo battle.

50:39 its called leafy showdown because this is the showdown against (spoiler alert) olimar in his leafling form

I honestly like the 2 battle mode the most

Nobody remembers the pikmin 1 battle mode (which makes sense because it’s unlocked through a secret button combo you only see in the credits), it’s olimar vs fiddlebert, Olimar has reds and fiddlebert has the battle exclusive green pikmin (in code a carbon copy of reds).

There’s about 5 maps which for the short dev time of pikmin 1 is a lot (even if they’re just remixes versions of the 5 in game maps), for perspective the resources put into this hidden sub-mode that maybe like 5 people even knew existed before it became more well-known from the internet would’ve been enough to make a whole new area as big as forest of hope or forest navel.

For those who haven’t played it I recommend it if you can get someone to play it with you, it doesn’t hold up incredibly well and there aren’t any power ups or anything but it makes for a funny play session.

If he doesn’t say Bingo Battle, we riot.
Okay, we’re not rioting today.

I didn't realize how many problems Pikmin 4's versus mode had. I've never had anyone to play Pikmin with, so Pikmin 4 was the first time I could actually play a battle mode since it has CPU opponents. I thought it was fun, but I didn't have anything else to compare it to. Still wish that 3 had online Bingo Battle.

Finally, a new video to rewatch endlessly, instead of jumping between the 3 separate ones

My memories of versus mode consist of convincing my friend to play one round, having a ton of fun, and then stopping right after cause he got bored. I still love this mode in all the games but where the hell are you gonna find another person who likes Pikmin?

You know, i was just about to binge all of your pikmin battle mode videos back to back, but i guess if there's a definitive version, then i'll just watch this 3 times instead. Sounds reasonable.

13:29 the aforementioned manual generation trick still works on the Switch version, so you aren’t 100% forced into random generation. It sucks that it’s the default and that no casual player would know otherwise, but there’s a gulf between absolutely forced and having a choice.
