pikmin 2 is horribly designed because when i try to put the circle peg in the square hole all my red pikmin drown

Because Pikmin 2 killed my grandma, okay?

>Strategy game
>Uses a bad strategy
>Loses

"Why is this game so unfair???"

Casual gamers are too babied by "good game design" and can't handle floor 5 of the subterranean complex

The only thing that's overly hard about Pikmin 2 is Me

I think a funny consequence that the video doesn’t bring up for going too slow in terms of progression are the emails. Depending on where in the game you are you’ll either have the President about to be executed by the mob or Olimar’s wife becoming emotionally abusive towards her kids. It’s a fun way to incentivize the player to go faster in repeat playthroughs.

4:40 Can I complain about this for a moment? Yeah no duh this guys entire squad is getting destroyed, he had an Orange bulborb on his butt, has a gate on one side and a poison hazard right under the bulborb. Gamexplains out here bringing an entire squad of reds into a body of water and acting surprised everyone’s drowning.

Pokemon Red is horribly designed because I only use my Charmander for everything and Misty keeps kicking my shit in.

First time I've ever heard that Jellyfloats can kill Pikmin :_stareborb:

Do you think the GameXplain guy made the same face they made in that Pikmin 2 thumbnail when he was asked to give his workers a better pay wage

Pikmin 4 is the hardest because I want to break my switch every time one of the stupid NPCs interrupt my gameplay

I remember the time when Pikmin Tree was ported to the Switch and everyone on Twitter started posting clips of them getting their whole squad eaten, blown away, squashed, drowned, burned, and overall anihiliated. And always said something like "haha funny quirky game". Same thing when Pikmin 4 dropped.
But when that same stuff happened to them in Pikmin 2, suddenly the game is unfair, unbalanced, broken and totally not their fault.

Pikmin 2 should just become lost media already, it is so difficult, I can’t even unlock Fiddlebert without using a Game Genie

I feel like (at least pre Pikmin 4) Pikmin 3 caused people to assume you can just mosh pit any enemy and win, and then they go play Pikmin 2 and get wiped

pikmin 4 is the hardest game because the more i play it the less i want to

People talk about a literal childrens game like how Mr. Krabs talks about The Flying Dutchman

Schaffrilas world record mention

The game is so hard because sometimes you can make catastrophic mistakes that are entirely your fault and be punished for them and then you have to reset the floor, wasting up to 20 whole seconds :((((

I always liked how Pikmin 2's official art was like clay sculpted. Because it took so long for 3 and 4 to release is probably why they didn't continue the trend and why Pikmin 2 stands out now.

I haven't finished the video yet, but I've been streaming Pikmin 2 regrown and got the comment, "it's nice to watch someone take their time with pikmin 2 and take a methodical approach"
I had no clue rushing into every situation with your full squad and not approaching things with thought was a widespread thing??? It's TECHNICALLY an RTS with squad management, people are not... managing their teams and breaking up and dividing their labor?

does everyone just have.... a dandori issue?
