The 1988 Mens 100 meter final in Seoul was the greatest sprint final in Olympic history. I was 22 now Im almost 53 and I remember it like it was yesterday.

On drugs or not Ben Johnson has the best start in history. That explosion out of the blocks is incomparable.

He seems very calm especially if he was set up, to have a gold medal taken away and be called a cheater from that day on, would be unbearable. And now Usain bolt jogs at that 9.79s crazy time

Ben virtually went for a leapfrogging jump from his starting point to win his race. It was fantastic. Give back him the medal.

Seeing and hearing how track and field was here (America) during those times, I was so lucky to be in Germany during this Olympics! King Carl was treated as a King in Europe (most great track athletes were at the time). I heard he was treated equally if not better in the Asian Countries. The 1988 Olympics is possibly the best Olympics ever! I remember almost every event, especially this one like it was yesterday! Ben Johnson set up this showdown by beating Carl in Rome. That was also a fantastic event! I miss those days when Track and Field was on top of the world! :(

The dirtiest race is everytime the next one, be it Olympics or World Championship. Seoul 100 m was the greatest race with the greatest sprinter ever.

They all tested positive apart from one in that race apparently, just the others sponsors were too powerful to lose them so they had to keep quiet.
