How about resetting the maintenance light😂

Great job!  Only one thing.... 4.5 liters equals just under 5 quarts (not 4 quarts as you stated).  If someone follows your stated quantity, they will be only buy 4 quarts which won't be enough.

Thanks for the info. Picked up my used K1600 yesterday and checking out the vids on youtube.  you do an amazing job getting in close with the camera the best I've seen

Thanks Kirk.  Storing these 1600 videos for whenever I find one in the used market

Another little tip.    Lube the shifter ball when the oil filter is off.   More room, especially  if you have large paws.  Makes it easier to remove and replace hair clip.

Thank You for taking the time to do this Chris.  Your a big help.

Very nice!!! Great job on taking your sweet time and explaining every part and not fast forwarding thru boring sections.

Thank you. New to BMW and I wouldn't have thought about draining a Sump

Thanks Kirk for the concise video.  I just bought a K1600GT and it is great to visually see an oil change take place.

Thanks buddy.
I saved 350$ today.
Cheers from France smart America

I usually tuck some aluminum foil b/t the oil filter and exhaust for a non mess filter removal that you can form to drain really easy. Easy n cheap.

Thx for the video

This is the best video i have seen explaining the oil change. Iam looking to get a used but fairly low in mile 2005 k1200s. And i was afraid of the cost of maintenance and service you made this easy for me to understand.  Thank you.

That sump plug is a hidden wonder. I thought I did a proper oil change, and then found out about that second plug. Took about 90 nm to unscrew my fist from the garage drywall. But the used oil helped lube the extraction. I think I'll read the owner's manual now.

Thanks for the detailed and complete process oil change for this bike. It's greatly appreciated. I'm subscribed . Thanks !

Just new to the K1600 world. Looks super easy albeit a tad messy with inner sump plug. Cheers and thanks for posting. 🇨🇦

You did a great job with the lighting.

Very straightforward and informative instructions. Thank you.

thank you very much for your video. Those of us who started to perform the basic maintenance tasks on the K1600GT are of great help to us.
I do not understand how you have 112000 views and so few "I like"
Thank you very much again and if you get some more videos of this model do not doubt that I will see it.

This was very informative, thank you for posting.

Thank you for doing a good job it helped me a lot. I'm new to the K1600 bike.
